Most of our sig images are 200+pixel high, though we want to abide to the only favor that was asked of us, not having a sig that is higher than 120px.

Can we take this new forum as an opportunity to make new sigs which follow that one spec? Thanks!

I figured it out..I posted the original link over in the Help thread there...I accidentally saved it as a jpg instead as a gif...PMView defaults to saving as that, and I didn't look after I transformed it. :P

Okay. I understand this part of the rules:

Signatures are great as long as they are not overbearing. The purpose of the forum is to read informative posts, and not to be distracted by large sigs. Hence, we must enforce a sig. height limit. The signature max height is 120pixels *OR* 4 lines of text. 120px + 4 lines is too much. Please make sure to follow this spec.

But I don't get where it says to limit our sig filesizes? Animated .GIFs are going to be a hefty size compared to regular still images, I understand but I think you guys ought to specifiy something like that before you slam us for a file size we know nothing about.

The filesize limit was something like 19.5kb... I'm checking this, will let you know as soon as I know.

Okay, official word from Inde is:
keep it reasonable. 50kb is the absolute max.

And that's really generous for such a small sig. The 3 pics in my sig have a total of 9,5kb, for example.

We're actually really lax on it right now since it's been awhile since it got out of hand. But I'll fix mine to avoid anyone who might think that we do get special limitations for our sig size.
