When he's old enough to drive, he'll just get like two of those, strap them to a raft with seats, and make thatr screechy RC car noise off into the sunset.

Grr, Gee, thanks mister!

Im not a "Kid" and for your information, I race adults, and kick their ass, Im a good driver :yoy: I was invited to the RC pro series state event, so you can go shove it (See why im on haitus, still a prick, yup!)

Got a new sponsor today. I now no longer have to pay for my own tires.

ahh I didn't know you were 16+ sorry.

But I remember some kid racing cars when I was a kid in contests, he'd buy like new motors an junk. I can't believe its a "pro" "sport"

That'd be awesome though if there was a magazine for it and they aimed for an older audience so like well endowed women sitting next to lil remote control cars :-p

But sorry I don't consider anything not televised on network television or ESPN or where people don't get major endorsement deals or big money, a sport

And how is it people "go on hiatus" and post every day? Sorta defeats the purpose of saying you're going on hiatus...unless you call 8 hours of sleep hiatus :-p In which case I'll go on hiatus in a few hours

Didn't really intend for my first post to be an insult or anything just think its funny that someone can get "sponsered" to play with a remote control car.

Im not a "Kid" and for your information, I race adults, and kick their ass

If you're not a kid why'd you refer to the other opponents as "adults"?

Lemme put it this way if playing with an RC car is a sport so is playing gameboy. Atleast some physical activity...

Also I didn't think I was being particularly jerky there just responding to him and questioning the definition of "hiatus" since it seems when people want some affirmation of their location in the guru social system they post some "I'm leaving" thread then reappear like 2 days later if not sooner after saying they were leaving for a month or more...

And don't remember ever complaining about the kid being a jerk.

Sorry if I came across as insulting to one of "The Core"

oh, don't take it too hard. Tark's just really, really touchy about his RC cars. It's almost like one of those "conversational landmines" as I call them, except that Tark's kind of putting his RC fetish out there, whereas a conversational landmine is more like where you're talking with someone about groceries and you randomly bring up eggplants, and the other person just completely emotionally explodes on you in a storm of wrath and/or weeping fits because, unbeknownst to you, somebody raped them with an eggplant five years ago. And there was no possible way for you to have any idea that they had a really, really bad hang-up about eggplants, but it doesn't matter to them, oh no. You brought up eggplants, therefore you're the Devil.

I hate that. That's probably why I hate socializing with random people. :grr:

Anyway, RC cars. They're great toys, but I certainly wouldn't invest my corporation's funds on them. That's why Goddess created figure skating. >:]

So because you haven't heard of it it's a joke?

He's not "playing" with cars. You can "play with sticks", it's still hockey. Sure it isn't physical, neither is playing Counter-Strike yet people get TONS of money and sponsorships based on skill alone. Which this is.

And yes, Tark is a kid, so am I, we just are able to live a bit in the adult world.

Widowed...why do you have two eggs hatching on March 1st?

Also wouldn't it be more like adults living in a kid's world if the adults a toying with the RC cars?

I'm waiting for the day someone decides to sponsor a CoH PvP team.

Meltman

Well, they already sponser FPS players, but honestly, I see it happening in Guild Wars first...I mean, they already have a tournament set up there and everything...

So basically corporations are slowly taking the fun out of life and replacing it with never ending competitions...

Waiting to see a birth control company sponsor hookers..."If it works for her it'll work for you!"

Hmm, not really. Hell, some people LIVE for competition. To be able to get PAID to play a video game? That's a pretty sweet deal.
Furthermore, competitions would exist without corporations, scrims are everywhere in FPS games. The only difference, is that the best of the best are getting paid and sponsored to do the things they love doing.

More power to 'em, I say. :)

Do they announce your sponsor or does your sponsor give you a jacket or a shirt or like a real car to drive places in? I can't imagine it's effective advertising if it's just a couple stickers on a lil remote control car blurring past people...
