Alright, at the request of another thread here is a thread design to explain the story of the U.S.S. and it's members up to this point. There are alot of fresh faces and because we all haven't been able to rp together, this thread will provide a summary up to this point. Because everyone doesn't post too much like they should, I'll post what I know about everyone's character and they can feel free to correct me, considering that most of the tales I know already..it shouldn't be too far off.

Special Note: I also may reveal some spoilers because some of you look like you are having a hard time adjusting to a story that is ever changing...You may not know all the answers..that's how it's suppose to work. But I'll reveal a few cause I Like to...

Note: This thread will also be a general synopsis of things and how new people have been 'strangely' introduced..

Note #2: It's early in the morning for me and I'm too lazy to go back and find character colors..so you have to deal with my trademark red text...

U.S.S. - A mysterious strike force team, put together by a wealthy mysterious benefactor. The team is suppose to have a Silver Age feel for it's characters with Modern Age problems. They struggle to deal with their rise to fame and the supposed 'reward' awarded to them at the end of this Quest sponsered by a man calling himself Mr. Z. The original concept was a team designed for 8, but has they grew Mr. Z expanded them. He sent out special invitations to those he saw fit to fill out his team. (Magic number is 24)

Mr. Z - A wealthy businessman, his true location is not known. He is believed to be either an injured or retired hero that can no longer take up the mantle himself. He designed a group to carryout his tasks for him, no matter how extreme or dangerous they maybe. Some of the characters don't trust him, because his ways are mysterious and his actions are that more crictial to interupt. They hardly know anything about him, other than he has strong connections within the City of Paragon and perhaps the rest of the world, and he has some pretty powerful friends as well. (I.E. Sebastian Kain - President SK).

His current role is that he is out of the country on imediated business. Yet his control over the team is still persistant, because of the new members that he has acquired in his absence. He has established a liason for the team and she is every bit mysterious has he is. Apparently before he left, one of the heroes and leader on the team he had so highly valued had a unrecorded disagreement with Mr. Z and decided to quit the team unexpectedly. Whether this was a ploy by Z or the character really was quitting because of the arrival of 'another' well that remains to be scene, because only one side of the story has been told. (Captain Omniburner's Side)

What he isn't telling you? (spoilers highlight to read): Z has a stronger connection with several members of the team that what has been originally stated. He may just be one of the members of the team itself, maybe right now or maybe later down the road. He has a deep history with Captain Omniburner and Vanessa Thompson. Whatever they have may told, isn't exactly everything that needs to be said. Some truth and some false. All three could be a deadly trio towards the team, so the trust factor that they always talk about is truly Important, I don't **** when I talk about that all the time. The relationship between Z/Vanessa/Omni can be traced back to the time Jonas was an active fireman. And there is a strong reason why Vanessa was pretending to be a sunday school teacher when she was married to him..

Sebastain Kain also has a deep history with the trio as well..

Vanessa Thompson-Barclay - She is a USA CIA agent that is 33 years old. She married Captain Omniburner when she was 18. Captain Omni was 25 at the time. She is of Jamacian decent and is a very attractive woman. Vanessa and Omni had a son together and his role will be strengthen down the road. Something happened that caused her and Omniburner to divorce.

What she has told you is that she divorced him because of his anger mangement issues. Its the same thing Omni has told, but he failed to mention that she told him she was an uncover government agent prior to their split. After Omniburner was seriously injured while saving Vanessa and their son, from their burning home, it was Vanessa who contacted some acquintances that were able to use limited released technology to repair Omni's damaged arms with cybernetics and nanotechs. He has her to thank for his 'gift.'

What She isn't telling - There is a reason why Omniburner is saying that she can't be trusted, its because she cannot. If history has shown you anything, she lied about being an government operative to him for years. This destroyed their marriage, as well as the cause of their home being burned down and Omni being injured, was never fully told either. Something she could have done or been involved with something that was an apparent cover up. The contacts that she used to get Omni his new arms was Mr. Z and Sebastian Kain. The real reason why Ominburner walked out, was because she was coming to Paragon. She knows this and He knows this too. Another reason she is here, is to track down a rogue Government operative..or so she says. She will eventually tell you that this operative is stationed in the Rogue Island of Paragon...

Captain Omniburner (Jonas Barclay III) - The rugged established and established leader of the United Sanction Society field squad is of german decent. He has a arrogant attitude and can be extremely emotional and physical when it comes to it. When he first got to Paragon, he was very disrepectful to Silver Succubus and anyone else that got in his way. He had an imediate trust and connection with Z long before the rest of the team could ever get siuated. He was the first and true leader of the team and he did a great job. He was a former fireman in New York City before his arms were injured in the fire in his home. His marriage to Vanessa was always a strenous one, he battled acholoism and depression when they were married. She was shy and respectful to him and pretty much did everything he ever asked her to do. This perhaps drove him to the point of wanting something else, he would often get drunk and cheat on her with other women. Yet she still stuck by his side, until after the fire incident. She truly did love him, at one point...

During an argument with Z about the apparent arrival of Vanessa, Omniburner walked out on the team and Mr. Z. He wanted nothing to do with her, he considered her a liar and a manuiplative. He had already confessed his secrets of adultery long to her before she ever told him that she was/is a secretive Government agent. He realized this after his arms were restored with super strength and the ability to control fire with his 'hot blooded' emotions. (The angerier her gets the stronger he becomes fire/strength.)

What he told you - He left the team to explore the hollows more. He wanted to establish an outpost there and make habital for normal people, instead of a war torn zone. He added Sam Wincott in his efforts, but he still had strong ties with the team and often aided them on their missions anyway. They dubbed him "Captain Quitter" because of his actions, eventhough most had respected them.

Upon his return to the team, his persona seem to have changed. He was no longer the hotheaded arrogant asshole that he came out to be at first, he seemed humble and more spritual than before. Even was on discussion terms with Vanessa, eventhough she was his new boss for the moment. He aided were ever he could during the TF of Synapse and even succubed to letting Silver Succubus lead the field team. He had a few times of clashing heads with the team, cause some didn't want him back, but they worked through it. He just had to let it go..

His relationship with Anglican Avenger also blossomed and matured, because she was still the one that trusted him and respected him the most.

Firecast was deeply affected by his departure, they sortof have a father/son or brother/older brother relationship. His leadership keeps Firecasts enthuasim to burn things under control. He is the one that Firecast trusts the most, even with him leaving the team for other goals..

What he isn't telling you - Everything is still connected for a reason. Omni didn't just have a fight with Z and decided to go to the Hollows on his own, he was doing Z a favor. There was someone in the Hollows that Z wanted monitored for their saftey. It will be revealed that there is a little girl in the hollows that Omni took care of, he had no choice..it's apart of a contract that he has with Z. A legal binding contract that could prove fatal for someone, if he breaks. If I may be so blunt with it, Z has his balls by a string that is very short, period. Reasons why he came back, whether or not he's working with Z and Vanessa or they are against him..is unknown.

He has had several conversations on the on with the other members of the team, and he has told them different stories. From Z to Vanessa to himself, what is the thing that has remained true is that the team shouldn't have total faith in all three. Omniburner and Vanessa both have met Z or a man they believe to be Z. Like the team, it still can be understood that the 'real' Mr. Z has yet to show his face. Z is a master of the deguise and can be one of several people. That's something he hasn't told you....

These are just a few things that can be said about the trio of characters I play currently on the team..I'll make some more posts about others characters in a bit..

Dutch Clutch - Mr. Clutch (has he is referred to by Capt. Omni), has a happy go lucky vibe to him. He's the team's mechanical geninus for Holland. (I think) And has a very good relationship with Captain Omni..(like several others he was shattered by his decision to leave but was relieved to have him back.)

He is currently trying to get involved with Vanessa Thompson. He has perhaps developed a crush on her and is a self-proclaim ladies man. She entertains his little effecation, but continues to say that business and pleasure shouldn't mix, and that she is the ex-wife of the very big Captain Omniburner. He respects Captain and feels that he has good taste in women. (Also cause the Capt. "Boss" for short).

He feels that the group in general has a lot of issues in general. He trusts Z and Vanessa and anyone else in the organization, eventhough he has a strong reason not to. Just the his personality works. (to my understanding)

He has adjusted well into role of team 'mechanic' and practical joker.

Updates to follow

Psiounora- Felicia Graves is an actress who's searching for a friend, with her lover Sonic Harpy, who match maked the two. She's shy and hesitent of her team mates, and only has those two people on her mind. But she's willing to save their lives in battle, both because she's kind and they might help them with their goal. Everytime the coast is clear though, she continually talks to Tiffany about what they think of them, and if their trust can last any longer.

What she isn't telling the team (besides the previously stated and the obivious origin of the two) :

During fights she's picking up weaker, surface thoughts of her team mates with her developing telepathic powers. From there, her and Sonic decide if they can put their lives in USS's hands any longer to find their friend. She doesn't talk much (next to her shyness and kindness) because of her mind reading, and if there is anything that needs to be said, Tiffany will say it for her.

Sonic Harpy- Tiffany Frick, she is an actress and talented dancer and singer. She doesn't care for rules or authority and has no problem speaking her mind.

She is very much in love with her partner Psiounara. So far she doesn't care much for many of the other memmbers since they all seem paranoid. In general she doesn't like most people and they have to prove themselves to her for her to like them.

She spends most her time with Psiounara looking for their missing friend when not working for the USS

Firecast - Firecast is a 22 year old who acts far younger than his age. Raised by a single mother, he had a rough adolescence when his mutant abilities developed, and was very sheltered because of them. He was born and raised in Nevada, and is only comfortable in warm weather. He gets cold easily, and can't stand to be in cold temperatures for extended periods of time.

He's quiet about his past, and doesn't trust anyone. His issue with trust is so extreme that it borders paranoia. Growing up sheltered, he is very inquisitive about other heroes' powers. He respects other mutants, and those who are able to burn things as well as him. Firecast has issues with pyromania, combined with a hyperactive personality which often gets him and his teammates in a good deal of trouble (Nothing they can't handle, of course). He gets antsy very easily, and hates standing in one place for too long. He often goes off to set fire to various villains while waiting for his teammates.

He has developed a close bond with Captain Omniburner, respecting the captain's ability to "burn things". This respect developed into a trust, and a special bond that Firecast has never had with anyone other than his mother. Developments with other heroes are slow. However, he respects the heroes who were original members, who he's gotten to know the most. Aside from Omniburner, he feels most at ease around Dutch Clutch.

What he's not telling you - He's a fugitive. Wanted for the investigation of a massive building fire that killed dozens of innocent workers, and injured even more. All eye-witness accounts point to him as the culprit. He's not a bad person, and he doesn't have a psychotic alter-ego that goes on rampages. He has been taken advantage of ever since his mutant powers manifested. Assured he was "doing the right thing", and that those were "bad men" in the building, he thought he was doing justice when in actuality, he was sabatoging another company's competitor. This has lead to his borderline paranoia trust issues, feeling like everyone is out to take advantage of his abilities.
He recieved a letter from the mysterious Mr. Z stating that if he complied with his (Z's) orders, he could return home without prosecution, his legal record would be wiped, and he could start over with a clean slate. Along with the clean slate, Firecast has bargained for money, so that he can take care of his mother, as well as fame. He wants to be looked at as a hero to the public, he wants people to respect his mutant abilities, not fear them.

Silver Succubus - On April 25th-26th, 1986 the World's worst nuclear power accident occurred at Chernobyl in the former U.S.S.R. (now Ukraine). The Chernobyl nuclear power plant located 80 miles north of Kiev had 4 reactors and whilst testing reactor number 4 numerous safety procedures were disregarded. At 1:23AM the chain reaction in the reactor became out of control creating explosions and a fireball which blew off the reactor's heavy steel and concrete lid. The Chernobyl accident killed more than 30 people immediately (including both of a 6-year old Jeacline Dasha's parents), and as a result of the high radiation levels in the surrounding 20-mile radius, 135,000 people had to be evacuated.

Newly orphaned and terrified of what was going on, Jeacline clung to the bodies of her parents and passed out from the overwhelming exhaustion. A KGB official found her in the small domicile they were living in and quickly picked her up and carried her to safety. For the remainder of her years, she grew up in an orphanage in Kiev, and as she began to mature she started realizing the effects of the fallout had changed her greatly.

When she'd get angry Transformers would explode, sparks would fly everywhere, and great surges of energy would occur, it came to the point where the KGB saw her as a threat to the country, but when she vowed to use her powers to help people they fitted her with a metallic biosuit to contain her energies.

She continued to live in the orphanage, helping out children with their issues, but the poverty-stricken nation was just too much for her to bear seeing these kids suffer day in and day out.

Picking up Mr. Z's transmission on a communications device the KGB had given her to instruct her on cases she needed to work on for them, she decided this was the prime opportunity to help out the orphanage and perhaps make a better life for the children there, as well as an opportunity to escape a life that had just beaten her down over the years.

She joined the U.S.S. but at times bears a chip on her shoulder due to the great lives and various wealthy backgrounds almost all the other members of the team have, because she's never known such a life and it pains her.

What she isn't telling you: The radiation poisoning from the fallout - while her energies are contained in the biosuit she wears, it is slowly killing her. She also is not telling anyone that she had been granted special permission by the very much still active KGB to monitor the activities of Mr. Z who had been on their watch list for quite some time, and if necessary, apprehend him and bring him back to them for questioning...

Novastryke - Novastryke is 30 years old, he knows how to invent stuff, and has some sort of strange energy emiting from him at his will. He's in search of the person who murdered Dr. Dale Springfield, though, he doesn't know who that is or who he is, even, as he has been stricken with a case of amnesia.

What he doesn't know: Novastryke IS Dr. Dale Springfield. Dr. Dale Springfield was a genius in the field of Pyrokinetics, and was incredibly intelligent, graduating from college with a PhD at 23. He spent several years working in Paragon City at Springfield Laboratories by day and under the guise of Dr. Flamestrike by night. He was rumored to be a part of the Silent World Order, but was rarely seen with them, spending a majority of his time in the UK working for Scottcorp and courting that company's CEO, Marissa Scott. A few short months prior to their wedding, he was brutally murdered and left for dead outside the Peregrine Island Hopsital. A Kheldian by the name of Kal-Ax Natos fused himself with Springfield's body, bringing him back to life.

What he doesn't know part 2: The perchance meeting with the U.S.S. members will lead him to the killer eventually, though it will seem like a never-ending process and he will battle several "operatives" of the real killer until it leads him to the right person, (Who may in fact be the infamous Mr. Z)

Anglican Avenger - Daughter of a world famous scientist duo and current Owner and CEO of the BioTech firm Scottcorp, Marissa Scott has led a wealthy life, but this has come with many hardships. When she was 15 she was exposed to a severe blast of energy, which in time, ultimately granted her the powers she uses for good today. When she was 24, both of her parents were murdered in front of her by what appeared to be Crey Corp Operatives. Most recently, her fiancee was also murdered.

Blaming herself for everyone that has ever been close to her being killed, she decided it was time for a change of scenery. Watching the telly late one night, she happened to notice the transmission sent by Mr. Z and packed up some things and bought a penthouse suite in Steel Canyon. Once she arrived in Paragon City, she sought out the local Icons Tailor for a costume and she registered herself as The Anglican Avenger...

What she isn't telling you: She does know who Dr. Dale Springfield is, it was her fiancee, but is in such shock about Novastryke even mentioning the name that she is hiding inside, scared to mention her relationship with him, because she does not want Dr. Springfield to be hurt and/or killed again. (Remember, she blames herself for the deaths of her parents and Dr. Springfield).

What she doesn't know yet: It may have ultimately been Mr. Z who killed both her parents and her fiancee.

Cold Runner

Jonathon Rivers grew up in the desolate plains of South Dakota with little oppurtunity and no future. Part of the Sioux people, he, his twin brother, Andrew, and his mother lived on a reservation where despair and demise were the flavors of the years. Yet in such a land, the two brothers were 'gifted,' Jonathon growing into a massive being and Andrew into the most promising spirtual man, though of a wiry frame. It came to be one day that a red-headed man arrived at the reservation. Strange things happened that day, the culmination of them being the dissappearance of Andrew. After this event his demeanor became cold, and found that he could control the composition of his body into solid ice at will.

He arrived at the gates of Paragon with the convincing of a Vanessa Thompson-Barclay, with the promise of finding such a brother. His services are at the USS disposal till then. And in the meantime regain the lost honor of the Sioux Indians.

Just that everyone has been task forcing or only grouping on the weekends so he can no longer play with the full team. Or if other team members are around they are too high to play with. Only two characters he seems to meet up with regularly are Dutch Clutch and Umberal Wrath. Though he did help out a bit with Commonwealth.)

Sheriff Watts - Sheriff James Watts comes to Paragon City through the Portals. On his Earth history occurred differently and the USA was ripped apart in the Southern secession in 1861, the government of Texas took the opportunity and seized control. Much of the history of that earth is violent afterwards, eventually global peace was secured through dilligent use of military might by Texarkana. To this day much of the world is an outlaw frontier.

This violent past actually saved the population from a Rikti invasion, which was swiftly repelled. Afterwards it was surmised that other Earth's may not have faired so well, and an elite group was formed to travel to these earth's and help any way they could. Sheriff Watts is one of these lawmen, serving in law enforcement for several years on his Earth, surviving losing his arm and his eye, and his family to the harshness of that world.

Upon arriving through the portal he requested to contact this world's government and offer his assistance. Shortly after he was contacted by Mr. Z who claimed to represent the government and instructed the Sheriff to contact Omniburner for further instructions.

What he's not telling you - His Earth may be fairly self reliant from invasion, but not from self destruction. Liberal use of weapons and industry has rendered much of his Earth a dry, arid world, and it's getting worse. The Sheriff's were deployed to determine if there are any Earths to evacuate to should their planet cease the ability to sustain life. The prospects don't look good at this world so far, unless things take a turn for the much worse back home.

What he doesn't know - That Z isn't a true representative of this government, and he could be in for more than he bargained for.

Eryana--- Came to the Paragon after her tribe survived the invasion by the demon Rikti. Most of her early life was spent becoming a curious mix of Nalos tribe warrior by her father and educated woman, but not formally, by her mother. Her tribe has roamed from Morroco to Yeman and back. She does not consider her abilities at all odd, tribe Nalos has always produced strong warriors. Although few could outrun horses, or lift 1000lbs like she can.

What Shes not telling you ---no spoiler Nothing. After several months in Paragon Patch showed up at her door with a note, a membership invitation and a communicator she had no idea why or what Z would want with here

What She doesn't know--- She is indeed a mutant, and a fairly powerful if common one. She is completly unaware of her healing factors. She just assumes that major wounds are minor ones. Slightly tougher then a human, she still can't get away with punching armorplate without shattering her hands, it just heals that quick. Her father, tribe, and herself are convinced she's tough though and she is embarassed at the pain she feels almost constantly when in battle or soon after as she heals.

Calvin Graham didn't accept Z's invitation for personal reasons or through his own will. He was given an assignment, and the assignment was to take the man's offer.

The development of his acclaimed V-belt started in his years of college, and developed into a reality. The invention was sold to the government as a human enhancer capable of augmenting one's physical and mental speed. With these two things, the government wanted to equip it's military with such a device. The possibilities were endless. An immediate funding was given to Calvin in order to make his blue prints come to life.

What he isn't telling you: Calvin Graham is infiltrating the United Sanction Society. When the invitation came for Calvin, the government ran numerous background checks on the sender, Mr. Z. Nothing was found. The CIA was contacted, and they too were unable to locate anything on Mr. Z. Questions were brought up about his existance, and what he wanted with their property, Mr. Graham. The government covered up their tracks, and pulled Calvin into a conference room. They pitched a lie and a truth. The truth? They wanted him to actually put the V-belt into omega-level testing, so in essence, he was accepting Mr. Z's invitation. The lie? He was sent to spy, and he was to act as if nothing were wrong.

The government wants everything. Updated backgrounds on each member. Photographs of the headquarters. Transcripts of the mission logs. Everything down to the brand of toilet paper used. They see Mr. Z as an anonymous threat, and if something were to go wrong with him and his United Sanction Society, they would be able to neutralize the threat in a matter of minutes with all of the compiled information.

What he doesn't know: That Z probably already knows, or has a suggestive clue of what's going on.

What Calvin thinks: He's contracted by the government, which makes him their bitch under the ruling law. However, the idea of infiltrating and spying doesn't settle well in his stomach. As a matter of fact, he'd rather be thrown in jail for obstruction of justice, but all of his dreams would be washed. He's highly dependent on the government for funding, and if this goes wrong, not only is the plug pulled, but also his life. Life in prison also doesn't settle well in his stomach.
