The current concept for the base: Office Front

Future plans: If we ever expand to a bigger plot: High tech pocket dimension base.

Personal items I already made: Mission Computer (so don't make these, please.)

While it is only Melty who has the control to build the base, I think I need to put something like this up. I know at least for me (and I assumed for most of you) part of the reason for joining a VG to begin with, aside from the usual being attatched to a group, was for bases, their upgrades, and raids. I also assume you have been checking the base, and wondering why we only have 3 rooms, and really nothing to assist us. Wellm I talked to Melty about it as I was wondering too, and since there hasn't been anyother comments I decided to say this. As you know do have quite a bit of funds, but also, a generator, even of the lowest level, is quite expensive, and we are saving up for that, and a tech workbench that it will power (in the charter, but I don't know how many read it) This still could be a bit of time away, but as the MotD says, please just stay in SG mode to earn us more (you don't even need to use our colors, or even symbol to stay in it, so why not) Anyways, I just thought I should give an update from what I know, and if Melty doesn't mind, I think we should use this for input about what you think of or for the base, but keep it constructive, and keep brining in that prestige.

Almost half prestige to get a generator again



What does this mean? It means if we work hard we can have a powered workbench very soon.

Oh, and I have the Port Oakes beacon for when we have a telepad.

OK, just for my own clarification, we sold the generator to get the workbench to be powered in the future, and we then used some excess to add decorations, but are getting close to the generator again. Right?

Yes, and I also bought enough control to run the workbench. Most of the prestige went into the additional room. And we're at around 90k. (Considering we got over 30k just since our Sat. meeting, 220k isn't that far off.)

Oh, and the unlit hallway with just a whiteboard in it is where the generator will go eventually. (I walled off the excess space so it looked better.)

So the workbench works because of the just enough power circulating in the base? Cool, and I almost can't believe we made 30K in one night of teaming, on one mission.

No, we DON'T have enough power, that's what I'm trying to say. And we made the 30k between Sat and Tuesday....not in one night...

If you get big enough, raids add a new level to the game. If small, a supercomputer provides tasks and and SFs...

Speaking of which, we've had the supercomputer badge for awhile.

(And it's also a place to come after you die once you get a medical room, plus you can buy inpirations, and put in a telepad to go to different zones.)

Also, we can build little like ruins and things that act as upgrades (minor as they may be) to you when in SG mode, like increased damage, end regen, etc.

You can't build those. You need to do raids to get them. And they open you up to random raids.

The current concept for the base: Underground beneath an abandoned warehouse.

Next purchase: Generator (more than halfway there)

Future plans: After I get the teleporter room up, we'll be 'moving' to more high class facilities.

Where is the Mainframe to generate control?

I like the feel, especially when you see the well lit room in the distance.

See that computer in the well lit room? That generates enough control for a workbench.

Melts, this is gonna be hell for me to tell you...

The way the Control room works is that there is an object that generates control (the Mainframe) and then there are auxillary items (Terminals, Databases, etc...), which add control to the control already produced by the Mainframe. They are attached to the Mainframe, not literally but they have to be in the same room in order to generate control. With this it means that our terminal shouldn't be making any control until we get a Mainframe, which is 150k more. After we get that we can add to our hearts content onto that Mainframe.

Well, Melty hasn't updated this yet(feel free to edit this for anything important I forgot), so I'll say it:

As of (at least) February 10th we have a new base, the story for those of us RP wise, is that it is a totally new facility, now in St. Martialm which is more upscale, and is more permanent. It definately has a more clean and friendly feel then the warehouse, and the lighting has been changed, and our size is about doubled.

So far we have:

3 rooms excluding entry

Generator in

Teleporter in

The extra room I believe is for computers (Melty would know) and all we need is a computer or something for control to get the generator working, and maybe the workbench in. Get that extra prestige, and we'll hopefully be moved in soon.

When I checked yesterday, we needed 20,000 more to get the mainframe, and then 10k each for the two teleporter beacons.

Update: Added the 2nd beacon, this one to Port Oakes. This means that the next thing I do will be to decorate all the rooms, so look for a proper update on the front page of this thread within the next week or so. (I'd like to get the rent paid before I start so we don't go into the red.)

I like the way it looks. It makes sense to have the teleporters in the meeting room. After the meeting is over we set off to commit unspeakable evil. I don't see a throne or anything. Where does the exalted Ordre sit? :P

Added more control, so the 2nd teleporter works now. We have 3 beacons up now. St. Martial, Nerva, and Port Oakes are open for travel.

We only have one badge we need (aside from Grandville). Just the one exploration badge that used to be bugged in Cap Au Diable. (Sweet Tooth I think it was called?)
