I plan on respecing Coyote Storm (http://www.creyindustries.com/viewhero.php?id=18396) at level 24 into flight. He is my main RP character and he will be using sprint until then. The medicine pool represent his medicine man qualities. Please let me know about slotting. You will notice he is not taking an Epic pool. None of them fit concept.

Anyone with Storm defender knowledge feel free to post, not just Yin...I was just stroking his ego ;)

Heh. It's stroked. :P

While I'm not exactly a Stormie guru, I do know the ins and outs, so I might be able to shed a little insight on the build here (and it looks more like a PvP build over PvE, let me know if I'm right)

Gale: In my opinion, too many slots. It isn't a power used frequently among Stormies, but it does come in handy for certain situations (i.e. blowing mobs off of other Defenders, Controllers, Blasters, pushing mobs into AoE range ((for Freezing Rain, Lightning Storm, Snow Storm)), or keeping mobs off of you). I personally have it one slotted with an Accuracy SO++ to max just that one enhancement, and it does fairly well. You could use those other two slots for something else in the long run; however, it's good for PvP. You'll have more of a chance to knockback folk then I would (my build is more PvE)

Snow Storm: Again, another PvP friendly slotting. I'll have to take a look at my build again for this one, but I know I only have about 2-3 slots for this.

Steamy Mist and Freezing Rain: I would slot it with more Defense Buffs then Damage Resistances. I've noticed no significant resistance when I have it up (I believe they chopped the resistance percentage in half. I'll have to look that up again). Freezing Rain you would want to slot with more Defense Debuffs then anything else. It might be a pain for all the villains to mass leave the area, but the damage output everyone does after it is awesome once FR is dropped. It already has a Slow effect, and if you anchor Snow Storm before you drop Freezing Rain (especially with all of those slow enhancements in SS), they'll have less of a chance of escaping FR's AoE.

The rest of the Storm powers look good. I personally slotted Thunder Clap with 3 slots (2 ACC, 1 Disorient Duration), because its accuracy is horrible, and you want it to count when you use it. Tornado is slotted alright as well. Nothing much you can do with it but perhaps drop an extra disorient SO if you want.

And since the endurance cuts due to ED, and our "Vigilance" feature, I've found that Stamina just wastes slots. Even though Vigilance isn't all that great, and even though I find myself moderating my toggles more then what I use to prior to ED, I see little to no reason to take it. But of course that is dependent on how you want your character built and what not. :)

Hope I'm making sense. I usually don't 9/10, and it's apparent I need to get caught up on Stormie changes. :P That's if we have any. :P

Thanks Threshold. Actually it is a PvE build for RP. I guess I am caught up in PvP mentality, which is why I have so many slow enhancements. I may have to look at some things again. I took Stamina because, as I understand it, Lightning Storm drains about half your end and I was having end problems with my Ice/Storm controller when I was running Steamy, Snowstorm and then firing off attacks. Gale received the extra slots just due to the fact I had slots and no where to put them :).....Let me rework this a little on planner and will post a revized build.

That's where that new End Drain SO feature comes in. When you drain, you recieve. Works wonders. :)

So when the Lightning Storm drains end from enemies it is refilling mine? I did not know the power worked like that..great!

Here is the updated build. I kept Stamina because endurance can make or break you. Plus I was keeping health anyways and it is only one more power. The only other thing I had to choose from was Fistful of Arrows and I can do without that. Left one slow in Rain but added the def debuffs you recommended. This characters concept is that he is more of a archer than a storm summoner, but those powers really do come in handy. Also, replaced the defense resist in mist with def. debuff, which should stack nicely with my teammates manuevers and bubbles. Did not have any free slots to put on T-Clap, but the power was more for show than use, much like tornado.

Looks great! And I'll have to disagree with you on your T-clap statement. Before going up against a mob like Crey or Malta, I'll toggle Steamy Mist, and then jump into the center of the mob and light up T-clap. It disorients them for quite a bit, and then the other teammates can have their way. I do it in almost every mission, team or soloing. It is one of the more useful powers in the set IMO, but to each their own!

I am sure it is. I just don't have the spare slots for the concept of the build. I would have to take some of my arrows and I want to be able to solo when necessary. I may look to see where I can spare a slot somewhere else.
