So what does one have to do to get 'her' character into the Sisterhood? I've been having some fun group with you guys/gals that last few weeks, and even more so yesterday seeing how freaking many of you showed for the Villain Bashing. I've got an Alt that I really like to play, she was #2 to EB, until CoV showed, now she's #3. Lava Child is looking for a home. Her background is actually only in game Info atm. I'll have to pull it up for you, but here is what I can remember.
Name: Lava Child
Real Name: Sarah Carmelite
Type: Mutant Tank
Powers: Fiery Aura, Stone Melee, and Leaping.
Father was a truck driver for Crey, haling 'Stuff' and dumping it in different placed as ordered. Unknown to him most of the stuff, if not all, was toxic or radioactive chemicals. It changed him, and was slowly killing him. These changes where passed on to his only daughter.
Shortly before her birth, her father became very sick. Crey's healthcare policy did not cover him for what he had, or that’s what the HR rep told her mother. Mother was forced to quit her job in order to take care of her dying husband, and new born.
After about a year after she was born her father's skin began to grown hard, and dry in patches. Sections would even flake off in rocky like clumps. His body temp was very hot; he would toss and moan in discomfort. As his body temp rose, his strength would weaken. He was taken the hospital when her mother became so worried she called for help. A few days after this is when Crey seemed to take some kind of responsibility for their actions and took up care for the man.
One day when going to visit her father with her mother, her father’s room was empty. Paniced and talking with the staff, she could get no answers. A nurse she had become friendly with told her that several men in while uniforms came and pulled him out late in the night, but she didn't know where.
Her mother made many phone calls, and started to create a stink about locating her husband. It is at this point where events began to happen that made her realize they where no longer safe. A failed attempted to kidnap the woman and her daughter prompted her to take the child and move. At around age two Sarah started to come down with the same symptoms as her father. She took Sarah to the Sisters of Mercy. The Nuns tried to treat Sarah, and help her mother. It became clear that running with a sick child wasn't possible. She was forced to leave Sarah with the sisters. She needed to lead them away from her daughter.
Sarah slowly recovered from the illness. Like her father she was ill for over a year. The Sisters tried to locate her mother, but where unable to. Sarah grew up under their care.
... Continue Tape Two ...
OK its a work in progress, but that gives a basic idea. She gets sick, then gets better, grows up a little, learns she has these 'powers'. Learns the truth about her background. Wants to locate her mother and father. Because a hero to do so. I think it’s the teachings of the Sisters that keeps her from turning evil, and exacting revenge on Crey. I'm still playing with it, but what you think?
Does she fit? Or am I blowing smoke?
