Warren Ellis afficionados may have checked this out already. I usually don't trust Ellis with music recommendations, (I keep expecting to get linked to a naked man playing a cello with a frozen squid) but he's spot on with this one.

Yeah I usually don't listen to his stuff, but I found it earlier and I like it alot. It's not only Spidey, there's some Lois and Sue Dibny there too.

That is so true. I always kind of pre-emptively cringe when I click a link on his blog.
