Here are the movies playing at my local theater this week:

Fog, The
Dreamer, Inspired by a True Story
Legend of Zorro, The
Saw II
Weather Man, The
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Prime
Chicken Little
Jarhead
Get Rich or Die Tryin'
Zathura
Derailed

12 movies, not a bad amount, though no must sees for me. (Your mileage may vary.)

However, here are the movies showing next week:

Dreamer, Inspired by a True Story
Legend of Zorro, The
Saw II
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Prime
Chicken Little
Jarhead
Zathura
Derailed

Only 9....not only that, but no new movies, unless you count Harry Potter, which technically starts tonight.

Come on Hollywood, get on the ball...

My theatre has Walk the Line starting tomorrow...but other then that it looks very similar to your line up...

But there are some good movies coming out...King Kong looks awesome, I cant wait to see Jack Black play a semi serious role =) Also, Jarhead is an excellent movie...if you are looking for something to see.

Yeah, but King Kong is in December, that's winter, and winter is great for movies. It's fall that sucks. Especially this fall. Last fall was at least a little better. And war movies aren't my thing.

Didn't Walk The Line come out awhile ago?

You are right...Fall is like the bland time when they are still wrapping up the good stuff the release for winter. kinda like spring to summer.

Except Spring is still better, because that's when alot of comedies come out.

I saw Zathura the other night, and I was really surprised. I mean, it looks stupid, but the effects are incredible and I loved the story. Its basicly Jumanji in space, but definetly worth a look.
