You know those things? Like a short video clip or flash picture where after 20 seconds or so, some hideous screaming face appears for a second and scares the crap out of you? I love those things.
What I want is to collect as many as I can. Please post some links for me. Thanks. :)

There was a really good one from the weebls (made badger badger) folks awhile back with an alien invasion theme, but I can't find it now.

Hmmm... along with all those scary pics and vids, are a few that show other people reacting to them:
Kid dupes his brother into watching. (http://www.fazed.org/video/view/?id=103)
Dad scares the boys. (http://www.lookatentertainment.com/v/v-1440.htm)
Some buddies this guy has. (http://www.funnyclipcentral.com/content/reaction.php)
The second one is the cruelest. Those kids are going to on the news someday I think.

Hmmm.... the startle value is ok. Maybe if the screamy thingie was in better focus, it would be scarier.

By the way, I had collected and emailed links to a bunch of these shocker videos to all my friends and family a while back, and the video in Sally's third reaction clip is an oldie but goodie:
http://www.deecee.de/Fun/whatswrong.swf
This may not be the original link that I had emailed out, but I probably still have that list of links in my Outbox. I'll look around for it and post some more links if I find it.

Caught you Wiki-ing, huh? :D
I remember a couple of years ago I got a program from somewhere (I forget now) but basically when it was run a lot of text jibberish would pop up with an exit button at the top. And considering it was jibberish and didn't actually do anything you'd click exit, it would disappear and you'd assume the program was closed. Essentially, when someone sent you it and you ran it you didn't know what the hell it was and you'd assume it was bugged.
HOWEVER, my God, it still scares me when I think about the first time, the program wasn't closed at all it was just running in the background biding it's time to fill your monitor with a ghostly woman and deafening scream. It had a timer of like 2 or 3 minutes. And the thing is once it was run, even though you could close it in the task manager or whatever, it would still run itself on start-up which is what you don't realise until you actually use your computer next and **** yourself all over again.
I sent it to absolutely everyone I knew, it was genius, they hated me for it (but inevitably sent it to everyone they knew).
I wish I could find it again.

Anyway, you all get to help me choose my next avatar. Which do you prefer?

Normally I'd go with the classic "ghost running through the picture" but "gruesome faces at a dining table" has better shock value :D

It would have even more shock value if the admins hadn't shrunken the avatar file size. I had to reduce the dimensions of the images and chop out four frames just to compensate for that. :(

Mission accomplished?
Of course, if it bothers you that much, I can always nix one of the faces and replace it with a picture of a flower or a bunny or something. Just pick the face, Sir Strongheart. :D
If that doesn't make the avatar pleasing enough, maybe I can make it spell out Christmas lyrics, like "O holy night, the stars are shining brightly. It is the night of BLARGH!!!"
Okay, I'm hobbling off now. :P

Oh, look! It's my latest attempt to create an omnipresent staple image with a message, like the one with the bunny with the pancake on his head! Or the one with the soldier drinking a nice, tall glass of STFU. Stuff like that. Let's say hello to the What's Wrong face again, everybody! :D
