I've decided that 50 years from now when I am talking to my grandchildren these will be the tales I tell them. /reliving the glory days Back in my day Nintendo ruled the Earth and Console games were actually decent and well respected. And everywhere you went people cheerfully sang the mario theme or hummed the tune of Zelda.

Rachel says she used to rock at Tetris. She wasn't going to the bowling alley to bowl; She went to play Tetris in the mini arcade. She could probably beat me at it. Yes, we both caught on to Tetris right away. :D

It's kind of boggling why they included the theme from the Mortal Kombat movie. Or why that and the Tetris theme were included in the medley of "original music from Japan" (Mortal Kombat is American, Tetris is Russian). Or why there wasn't a Castlevania theme. The list goes on. O_o

Good point. Although Mario and Zelda are pretty much the cream of the crop as far as "classic Nintendo" goes, the inclusion of Mortal Kombat kinda breaks the theme. But I guess they just needed video game songs everyone would recognize. I suppose if they started singing music from games like Duck Hunt or Excitebike, the audience might get confused.
