Events?

I know most of us are still settling into the game, and some of us are still waiting on the game. What I wanted to get a vote/opinion on was, what events if any we should be looking to schedule or setup. I don't want to make any of this mandatory or a requirement, which is the reason for the vote. Just wanted to know what everyone thought about various ideas.

Meetings

Once a week? Two a month? How many, if any should we setup? What are the best days for the majority? Now meetings as I see it, could be a mixture of IC and OOC. The OOC part is obviously just us goofing off, comparing notes on AT's and missions, stuff like that. The IC part would give us all a chance to learn how to RP with each other and get to know everyones character and such. Obviously the meetings would make most sense in our Base, which I will be adding rooms to today and tomorrow, so we'll be broke very soon.

Strike Forces

This one is pretty much mandated by level. The good part is that a big chunk of us are in the same range and those that are higher can be exemped, so I don't see why we can't all participate in this. If there is interest in it, I'll make a separate thread for it, and sticky it, so we can coordinate them that way.

RP Events

This is along the lines of the meetings, but this is strictly for RP. In-game or Forum storylines can be played out while running missions, visiting PvP Zones or whatever. Again, if there is interest I'll make a separate thread for it so it can be talked about.

Misc.

What are some other things, if any that you think should be a part of our team oriented events and meetings?

Strike Forces - I'm only level 11, but is there an equivilant of Positron?

RP Events - I think we're best off running complex IC events as Forum threads and keeping them out of the game. But we could have a small storyline going on in-game too, seperately... If the team wanted.

Misc. - Is anyone good with flash?

Meetings: Twice a month but avoid Sundays please. I like the one IC and one OOC but we could probably handle OOC stuff here on the forums.

Events: All for Strike Forces. Also another Event could be PvP, arena or PvP Zones. I personally prefer the zones. The entire fracture team rocking Siren's Call or Bloody Bay would be awesome.

Misc.: I love miscellaneous, the more miscellaneous the better!

I like the meetings as stated. I know that with the Euro -> west coast spread we have getting a time that's not a weekend might be tight. Let's see how that falls out though.

w00t for Strike Forces! :) I'm outlevelling most of my contacts before they give me an arc so anything is good to help get the storyline down.

RP Events - I think there can be several of these going on (forumwise) even criss crossing since all of us have our own stories and it's doubtful that everyone will be involved in everything, with the interests and characters who hold them so wide spread. But...with that said i'd like to say that everyone should try (both IC and OOC) to reach out characterwise with the plots/events. Get to know new villains (again IC/OOC-wise).....I've found it could make some good (and hilarious) interaction. :)

Misc - Base Raids. Let's get out there and start Fracturing chumps. *evil smiley*

RP Events - I'm not really a big RPer myself, and can be rather lazy when it comes to posting on forum RPs, but I'll try my best to keep up with all of these.

Agree with all of the above. I'm at 12 close to 13 right now, so I could be ready for the lvl 15 SF, just give me a day and time and i'll try to be there.

I know it looks like everyone's kinda rushing to 14-15ish for the strike force...but as I mentioned to Arc today, it might be safer if we wait till 18ish...otherwise we might be looking at something like doing Posi's TF at lvl 11....

I'm in favor of all of the above....2 meetings a month would be great. Only issue would be timezone problems so we'd have to work that out.

Definetly in favor of Strike Force missions and yes, the first one is 15-20. I'd have to agree with Frosty in that we should probably wait till a good amount of us are between 18-20 before we take a shot at it....

RP events are something that we should make a habit of doing, both in game and on the forum. They wouldn't have to be mandatory, but any member that wanted to would be welcome to join in. Forum wise, we'd have to be careful about how many authors we have for any particular RP....if we get enough interest, maybe do a split team storyline.....that way we can keep the number of writers to a managable level per RP.

Personally, I'd really like to center a lot of our in game RP around PvP zones. It just seems that the RP flows so much better out there. You don't have the game dictating your storyline to you by what mission you're on and you can really feel like you're doing something by fighting other players/NPC's out there.

Once we get some equal levels, I think a great RP storyline would be to split the team and have the Bone Squad (and friends) go against Fracture in some PvP action. :) I think we could RP the hell out of that.....

Same goes for Base raids....I would favor having most of those done IC if at all possible. Though some OCC trash talking would be pretty fun too. hehe

Alright, so it looks as if so far we're all in agreement about 2 meetings a month. So far Sunday has been given a "No" and I know we have to have one of them be on Monday for sure.

So what about starting them next week? Monday the 14th. All we need are times. I'm good anytime after 5:00PM PST on Monday afternoon. We can now decide if this Monday's meeting will be OOC or IC?

Would Monday's work for everyone for both meetings? 2 weeks from the 14th, is the 28th. So if Monday's work, it would be every other Monday. If not we'll have one meeting be on Monday's and the other on whatever other day is good for everyone.

I reckon it should be OOC just because I don't think we've really spent much time in-game together as a whole. I think it would be cool just to kick off with an informal social type do. A belated meet and greet, if you will.

So it looks as if Monday is good for alot of us. I'll start a seperate Meetings thread where the dates can be posted and such.

Maybe we can do another meeting next Wednesday on the 16th for those that couldn't make the Monday meetings. The people that attend the Monday meetings don't really have to break their backs to attand the Wednesday meeting. I'll be there Wednesday or whatever other day is good for those that can't make Monday.
