I really hate it when some people here take it upon themselves to make fun of banned members. It's cowardly, immature, and I loose all respect for them when they do it.

To paraphrase: They suck.

That is all.

I see little point in doing that, since they're no longer able to post and further illustrate why they've been made fun of.

The user wasn't banned when I made fun of them, btw.

:P (<---okay, I'm busted)

You know, usually when someone comes to a forum to troll, it's in order to stir up trouble between the folks on the board. So by becoming upset with someone's reaction, you only give the troll what he wants.

Now, personally, I think the person in question was trying to back down, in a thread that has since been deleted. But you can never tell the motivations of another person. In the end, all that is important is the results.

Come now. If I had taunted the troll while it was alive, it would have persisted with the trolling. But once the troll is no more, we can mock its passing freely. We cannot feed the troll because the troll is dead.

See how that works?

But why feel sympathy for missy hero? The ban was well deserved by missy hero's actions, and Charon made a justified decision there. If you or I wandered into somebody's forums and started acting the fool until finally getting the axe, it's only natural that mockery and ridicule would rise in our wakes. Is this really a matter worth getting so upset over?

And it's that kind of thinking why I lost respect for you...

Twist it into any sort of reasoning you want Jade, it's still a cowardly act and lowers my opinion of them.

I'm not seeing your point here, BB. You don't engage with people who are being dicks on the internet, since it just aggravates things, but I'm not seeing the moral degradation here. It may not be particularly laudable, but it's just above speeding in my book.

Obviously I'm not the only one having a hard time with it, so I think an explanation is in order.

Trying to enforce morals on the internet is like kicking a dead cow. You might get something out of it, but the cow won't care.

All right everyone. Troll's gone, any further discussion of the troll is only increasing the troll's impact. It's not really a big deal but we like this forum because the people around here are relatively civil, right? So just forget about missy hero.

I don't see much of a use for this thread, so I'm going to lock it. I don't really see how anything good can come of it.
