RP Explanation of Powers: The chemicals she was exposed to and the near death experience caused her to come back from the other side changed. The apparitions she sees are the spirits of her fallen comrades given form by her altered mind. When manifested, something that only happened when she accepted that they were real, the images take a solid form and can be damaged and destroyed until manifested again. The darkness related powers are drawn from her new found connection with the netherworld.

Height: 5'8
Weight: 137
Build: Athletic
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Black
Race/Ethnicity: Caucasian
Strength Level: Peak human in most regards

Likes: Watching a good plan come together, catching the enemy off guard
Dislikes: Getting cut off, psychiatrists
Personality: Elizabeth has a mostly laid back attitude toward everything. There isn’t much that can faze her since she came to terms with her new found abilities. The knowledge of spirits has also made individual human life very insignificant in her eyes. She also believes that there is no such thing as bringing too much firepower to a fight and enjoys devastating an enemy.
Quirks: Sometimes talks to things that can’t be seen, can go overkill in the midst of a firefight

History: In her past Elizabeth was a soldier during the Rikti war. Her unit was given orders to assault a water treatment plant as backup for a hero squad in Paragon and stop an alien plan to poison the drinking water. During the fighting the Rikti chemical tanks were ruptured and they mixed with the plant's existing chemicals and the sewage. A toxic gas cloud was formed that nearly killed everyone.

She was exposed to the gas but managed to get out into the open air. Instead of dying she was put into a coma for several weeks. When she awoke she went through recovery and attempted to pick up her military career where she left off. However, she began seeing what appeared to be ghosts. At first it was on the edges of her vision, appearing briefly and then disappearing by the time she turned her attention on it fully.

Slowly the apparitions came more often until they were staying around for minutes at a time. Worse was that when she finally got a close look at one it was the image of one of her fallen squad mates. Bit by bit the spirits began to take away her sanity. They began speaking, talking to her during the day. The army psychiatrists could do nothing to help her and she was discharged for medical reasons.

Shortly after her removal from the military the ghosts became a permanent presence in her life and eventually she snapped under the stress. Taking whatever weapons she could find she tried to destroy the spirits. The result was several civilian deaths and her being subdued by a hero (Bone Squad member is optional). As she was considered a danger to society and clearly mentally unbalanced they sent her to an insane asylum rather then prison.

There she received 'help' but more from the inmates (Slaphappy and Showtime perhaps?) rather then the doctors. Instead of being cured she embraced the ghostly images she saw. In turn these images become real, rather then just things she saw in her mind. When the time came she was all too glad to help with the overthrow of the asylum’s security and get back to doing what she did best, being a soldier.
