Villain Name: Ferocity
Real Name: Alexis Myer
Identity: Secret
Aliases/Nicknames: Blind, Crow
Occupation: none
Legal Status: Deceased
Age: unknown
Place of Birth: New York City, New York
Marital Status: Single
Known Relatives: none
Base of Operations: none
Origin: Magic
Archetype: Stalker
Primary Power: Claws
Secondary Power: Ninjitsu
Power Pools: Leaping, Fitness
RP Explanation of Powers: Ferocity's metal claws generate at will, apparently from thin air, since there is no perceptible entry and exit point in her hands and wrists. Closer examination shows that the individual blades are riddled with faint runes and are probably the result of a summoning spell. Her ninjitsu-like fighting style and theatricality seem to be the result of normal training in the martial arts.
Height: 5'11
Weight: 118 lb.
Build: Slim
Eye Color: Pale Blue/White (formerly Brown)
Hair Color: Black
Race/Ethnicity: Caucasian/Latin American
Strength Level: Ferocity's ability to fight is a combination of agility, experience, and magic. Her physical strength is average for a woman of her build.
Likes: Excessive force, killing cowards, using people
Dislikes: Arrogance, people who ask lots of questions, staying in one place for a long time
Personality: Ferocity is isolated, distrustful of anyone who offers her assistance or begins digging into her background. When left to her own devices, she frequently disappears to engage in her own private affairs, but she is surprisingly responsive to the orders of those who are clearly more powerful. Despite her blindness, she has a keen awareness of her surroundings and can sense fear and confidence in allies and enemies.
Quirks: Ferocity possesses a somewhat unpredictable kind of magical perception. Her vocal cords are permanently damaged and she speaks in a combination of rasps, whispers, and gestures. She also has a telltale scar over her left eye that looks like it came from a claw.
History: Alexis Myer never had it easy. Her father, a man who struggled with paranoid schizophrenia, ran away from home when she was 8, leaving Alexis, her mother, and her older brother Jules to live in relative poverty in the slums of New York City. Jules reacted particularly poorly to the betrayal, becoming increasingly short-tempered and occasionally violent. After a number of rebellious and heated encounters with their mother, he also left home to join a gang. The two women were forced to find a way to survive on their own.
Fortunately, Mrs. Myer had little trouble attracting suitors, and when Alexis was 12 they moved in with a new boyfriend, Mark Waring. Mark offered them financial security, but he was far from kind to Alexis. Without her mother's knowledge he violated and abused her, telling her he'd kill her if she told anyone. Filled with self-loathing and fear, the girl snuck out of the house the next day, never to return.
She found what she could in the streets, learning to fight and protect herself, joining a number of gangs only to disappear again after a short while. At age 16 she attempted suicide, downing a vile mixture of liquids she'd stolen from a convenience store. Losing consciousness, she awoke in strange bed, unable to speak or see. A male voice informed her that her attempt at cowardice had failed, and that such an empty vessel ought to be filled with something more useful.
The voice spoke strange words and filled with panic, Alexis moved to uncover her eyes. She was surprised to feel a searing pain across her face as something unforgiving slashed the left side of her face. She again fell unconscious in a mess of her own blood.
When she awoke again, she could see, but not as before. All around her strange and hideous shapes seemed to be moving, shadows and monsters. She screamed, but all that came out was a thin squeal. "I'm afraid you destroyed your own ability to see and speak, Blind one, and only because of me can you now see," the voice was infuriatingly calm, as though it enjoyed her fear. "And I will not let you die."
Through the shadows, the desperate girl saw frightening blades attached to her wrists. She was a monster too.
The owner of that voice had many shadows, whom Alexis soon realized were real people through the lens of enchanted perception. She began to be able to work out features and faces, but the face belonging to her captor could never be seen.
The shadows taught her to use the blades, to use deception and trickery to gain the edge in battle. They all had names of their own. They called her Crow, and she hated them. When she resisted, they beat her. When she killed without mercy, they praised her. And the owner of that voice witnessed all.
Eventually, she was allowed out for a specific purpose- a troublesome man needed to be killed. Once away from the voice, she fought and killed the three other members of her team and escaped, a merciless monster and lost dog. She ran as far as she could, leaving the country for the Rogue Isles, where anyone could become impossible to find.
