As it would seem from this topic (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=3955277&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=4&vc=1) in the official forums, supergroups which existed prior to City of Villains received the standard beginning Prestige pool when setting up CoV. Supergroups created after CoV went live receive the standard beginning Prestige pool plus the normal bonus of 20,000 Prestige for each hero who signs up, up to the fifteenth hero of the supergroup.

Fifteen heroes x 20,000 P = 300,000 P

Urban Bushido only had about 200,000-250,000 P when CoV went live. Even now, Urban Bushido only has 310,915 P (not counting however much is invested in the Entrance)...and that's after such stunts as Widdy converting 1,100,000 Influence to 22,000 Prestige, and me and Cryo creating six new SL1 alts to plump our ranks up to fifteen members. Imagine how much Prestige we'd have by now if we had started fresh with CoV.

Well, we can still do that. I believe that it's better to scrap and rebuild Urban Bushido now--while the Prestige amounts earned by each Bushi are still low--rather than wait for us to earn massive gobs of Prestige in countless battles only to throw it all away in rebirthing Urban Bushido.

At present, our roster consists of the following:
Sonic Star
The Widowed
Sterling Saber
Dixie Samurai
Tarkenchi
Sonic-Star
Heavenly Light
Rose Child
Xiaolin Cowboy
The Whippoorwill
Bushido Ninja Zan
Bushido Ninja Zana
Fragile Vase
Past Image
Sumo Ninja

...for a grand total of 15, with Prince Paragon wanting to sign up as well. In light of all this, should we break up Urban Bushido and have everyone here rejoin, so that we can get as much Prestige as any new supergroup would receive? And if so, when?

We had eight or nine existing members at the time CoV went live. It may take some work to reform the team, but don't we deserve the full 450,000-500,000 (or more?) that we deserve?

Alex Valcarde would probably rejoin if UB would have him back.

Sure! We just hadn't seen you log in for the longest time. It kind of makes people wonder if the character still exists when the character hasn't been active for three or four months, that's all.

Hmmm...a Peacebringer. Is he good in melee?

PB's get 3 of the most powerful Melee attacks in the game. Plus their considered Naturals. (The PB Version of Kurai Inago FTW!)

Hmm....so what's the vote on this? We won't be able to quit totally unless someone higher up goes about kicking people as well.

Good at melee? Yes, but as is, hes only level 11, so I dont have many melee attacks so I use combo's of squid form/melee alot :D

Um, guys...http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=basecon&Number=3957829&bodyprev=#Post3957829

Right.

You do NOT need to reform your SG. We have the bug fixed here internally, and in the patch after the next one your SG will get it's 20,000p per member, up to 15. You need to do nothing in order for this to happen, it will be automagic.

I told Wids about it yesterday, just couldn't find Posi's Post. Thanks Melty.

As far as admitting a Peacebringer, I'm also still wondering about the possibility of admitting the odd Blapper (or whatever cutesy term you apply to melee-centric Blasters with melee-friendly Secondaries). Bearing in mind the base idea behind Urban Bushido, it might be safe to say that even a Devices Blaster might be able to contribute to the public's knowledge of self-defense and personal security simply by teaching ordinary people how to safely and responsibly wield a taser. :D

Considering that there's no way your average citizen can learn how to levitate people with her mind or summon fire imps and whatnot, it seems safe to say that Defenders and Controllers would definitely have trouble fitting in with Urban Bushido, if they could fit in at all (which is doubtful). The question, then, is how far we would open the gates if we were to extend membership beyond Scrappers and Tankers.

Thoughts?

Nay, I wouldn't allow defenders or controllers. Blappers are another matter. They chose the hard route and therefore should get some benefit. Also on the kheld issue, they should agree to only Dwarf form. When I think UB, I think hand to hand combat.

I still have to catch Prince Paragon online so I can invite him in. If not me, there's always Sonic Star, Sterling Saber, Dixie Samurai, Heavenly Light.... :D

But you do bring up a good point about Blappers going the hard route, and I agree with that. Blappers with "natural" power sets like Archery or Assault Rifle could also be there to teach safety and responsibility for whichever citizens are more inclined to use bows or firearms in defense of their homes. But the Blapper with Fire Manipulation might know a thing or two about teaching swordsmanship (though probably not as well as a sword-wielding Scrapper) between lectures about fire safety and the dangers of arson.

Don't mind me; I'm just brainstorming a little. But I'm all for admitting Blappers into Urban Bushido. All in favor?

Aye. I think Melee Centric PB's might also be worth admittance, if they so wish to join up.
