Now, we get on with the implementation of Frosty's brainchild.
Urban Bushido Pwns Night!!!
The point which took me the longest to consider was this: Where, oh where is the perfect spot to host the first Pwns Night? And then, while I was playing City of Heroes yesterday, the answer came to me:
WARBURG!
It has everything we're looking for: Tons of intimidating-looking monsters and villains roaming about, tons of other players eager to tear off a piece of us, plenty of streets and ruins and alleys and underground passages for us to explore, and a generalized atmosphere of anarchy and chaos in the air. And what better time to kick this off than Tuesday at 8:00 PM Central on the Virtue server, when all of Warburg will be all aflush with a teeming horde of players who are all just dying to explore their shiny new copies of City of Villains? >:]
Arachnos troops in formation? Pwned. Tarantulas? Stomped. Arachnobots? Demolished. Blood Widows? Broken. Those Mu guys who float around with their legs strapped together? Flattened. Those skinless-looking spider men? Pummelled. Other Heroes? Dominated. Player Villains who somehow managed to powerlevel to TL38? Crushed for their trouble. Lord Recluse and/or his awesome foursome, if they decide to show up for some reason? Ooh, they're goin' down....
As per the plan, we'll begin by streetsweeping and taking down anything that moves...unless it's on our team. The big prize, of course, is the Warburg rocket; If we can control that, then we shall pwn absolutely everything! Let's strike a blow against terrorism while we're taking out the trash, shall we? So if you can rescue the techies, great. If not, don't let them distract you from your all-consuming mission of running around and cleaning up the streets of Warburg by beating the snot out of anything that flashes you a dirty look. >:]
