Once CoV goes live

1) please make sure you only fight in SG mode. You are not required to use the SG colors or create a special SG uniform slot (you can't make a costume look good on all characters). You don't even need to wear the emblem all the time (Issue6 / CoV gives an option to hide the emblem in SG mode).

Why is this important? When you are in SG mode, you will be earning Prestige and Salvage. Prestige is the currency needed to buy base plots, rooms and items and to pay the rent. Salvage is needed to build special base items (like the SG computer).

2) whenever possible, trade your salvage to me, Poison. There is no vault for salvage sadly (might be implemented sometime), so for now it's easiest if one person carries is and uses it to build the base items.
If you play during a schedule completely different to mine, either inform me that you want to trade or give your salvage to someone who I can meet up with ingame.

Infos:

- everybody gets the same amount of prestige, regardless of his/her level. Everybody can contribute!

- you get salvage from non-grey mobs. Lieutenants and bosses have a higher chance of dropping salvage. There is no "rare" salvage, it gets dropped randomly, but the kind of salvage does depends on the mob type (Crey and Freaks, for example, drop tech salvage, whereas CoTs drop arcane salvage).

We will not be able to get a huge base at first, since rooms and plots are really expenssive (plots cost several millions prestige, rooms around 150k+), but if we all work for it, we should be able to get a nice, comfy base with all the luxury we need in the foreseeable future. If all goes well, I want to get to the point where we can have a small room for every active member, which can then be decorated individually.

Ummm.. Poison, that is all well and good for a level 50 who does not have to buy any more enhancements. Can some kind of arrangement be made for those of us who arent? I understand that precious little(if not none) influence is earned post level 35 while in SG mode.

If it's influence you need, feel free to ask any of the high level members. Since the exchange rate is 1 million influence for 2000 prestige, it's not really worth spending inf on that. Myself, I'm hording 50+ million influence and I'm sure all the other 50s have more. Don't think there's a problem financing lower lvl heroes.

Weird... so if you wear your SG costume, you get hardly any influence? Whats the reasoning behind that?
Im almost at lvl 34 now and -constantly- broke from buying SOs. When does that stop being a problem?
So anyway... YES! I will happily sell advertising space on my body to the Centurions for influence! :)

You still get influence, but it splits between inf and prestige. I don't know exactly in what ratio, but I'll find it out.

You should be short on influence till about lvl38 or so, then suddenly you get a huge increase and by the early 40s you should have more influence than you can spend. But it's helpful not buying new enhances every level or so, but always wait for the next tier (buy 35s when you're 32, then get 40s when you're 37, etc).

From what I have read about the testing that has been done, after level 35 there is no "split" between influence and prestige past level 35. It's all prestige and no influence when fighting in SG mode.

Viper... supposedly influence becomes "a flowing torrent" by level 40. I have spent too many hours in ICON to notice though. I'm level 45 and have a measley 3 million to my name. That won't buy me a complete set of SO's anymore.(it did at level 38) That's why this "stay in SG mode concerns me. I still have yet to "++" my level 45 enhancements and then I have the 50's to start working on once I get to 47. If I have to stay in SG mode, then I certainly hope the current 50's have enough socked away to fund enhancement buying for the rest of us.

Thanks for the info guys. My offer of "your ad here" still stands then, at least after level 35. ;)

Sally is right, I checked again with the beta boards. After lvl35 you either earn prestige OR influence, which, IMO, is totl bull****. But ah well, Cryptic and its ways.

Anyway, what Sally posted is what I meant with spend-fest behavior. Don't buy enhances twice and thrice to make them + and ++. There will always be a level where they're yellow, just take it. I don't know about the other high lvls, but I have no problem sponsoring others. And you still get inf from selling enhances.

Unless you constantly change costumes at Icon, ala Atom Slash, who has only 1 million sadly...

It gets better the higher you get, when theres more time in between the enhancement blocks.

Yay, we have our first 2 rooms in the base! Sadly this is not enough to do anything at all. :|
But at least I decorated our portal room a bit.
Keep on earning that precious prestige, we still need quite a bit of it!
