My desktop always seems rather cluttered when I look at it. But no matter how much stuff you remove it always seems as cluttered. It's a terrible paradox.

I dare say if you're not British or Solario you won't know who this sly, sexy and ultimately camp chap is nor will you care. But I'm relatively sure he's the only person that's ever upstaged Michael Jackson by mounting protest to him in possibly the only way he knew how - shaking his arse at him.
Ladies and gentlemen, Jarvis Cocker.
[EDIT] You'll notice I have a folder labelled Backed Up Sh*t. Despite what you may think there are no documents pertaining to constipation relief anywhere in there. I'm fairly sure.

I wish I could post my desktop, but the thing is, it changes. :D I have a Javascript web page that cycles between a bunch of pictures, both at work and at home. So even if I snapshotted one picture, that wouldn't exactly capture it. Maybe an animated GIF?
I can find some of the pictures I use on my own site, though, so here's at least some of them:
Patty Smyth (http://phan.org/psfc/pics/patty20.jpg) Another Patty Smyth (http://phan.org/psfc/pics/patty58.jpg) Xenosaga (http://phan.org/mrboard/KosMos.jpg) Pixie from Monster Rancher (http://phan.org/mrboard/697.png) Pixie again (http://phan.org/mrboard/pixsmile.jpg) Mural from Sonic Adventure (http://phan.org/mrboard/mural.jpg) Sailor Cutey Rei (Created Wrestler for Smackdown) (http://phan.org/coh/pics/cuteyfight2.jpg)
And the following are all pics I drew myself. Most are from Monster Rancher:
Bikini (http://phan.org/ryley/pics/bikini.gif) MR crossed with Lord of the Rings (http://phan.org/ryley/pics/mrlotr01.gif) A scaled Pixie, or Allure (http://phan.org/ryley/pics/nallure.gif) Niko (a character from Galaxy Rangers) as KosMos (http://phan.org/ryley/pics/nikokosmos.gif) Original form of Sandy (http://phan.org/ryley/pics/pixheng2.gif)

And would you happen to be related to Elizabeth Bathory, by chance? Her castle's still standing, at least. Maybe you can shack up there for a few days. You'll have to excuse her if she's unable to greet you personally, of course. :D
And what does BvS stand for? I think Deadpool referred to Baron Zemo as "Baron von Sockhead" once....

Baron von Shrike.
At least that was his name on the original paragon city boards. :)
A cookie for sheld0n.
That was, indeed, one of the names I used; originally on the prebeta forum.
My son stayed with us during the summer of '03 and had his own forum account. Aura stumbled upon the the identical isp (like she had nothing better to do) and banned both accounts.
I then posted as Wyrmwood p/BvS, roleplaying as my butler; and later as Raventhorne. When the game went live, I registered as BvShrike on the official boards.
And, no. While I am acquainted with the Bloody Countess, I am not related, nor have I had relations with, Elizabeth Bathory.

I don't remember having to stop any zombies (unless you're refering to Bishop Whatever's plague house), but one of my favorite scenes in the game was the observatory with the werewolf. Figuring out how to kill the werewolf (without letting the werewolf kill you first) was a nail-biter in itself. :look:
And, of course, I loved the haunted ocean house. Who didn't? Video games could use a few more haunted houses. :)
If your ever interested Wids I still have all my files on how to mod the game, for example it has built in custom backgrounds and bloodlines you just have to enable them.
I have a few of those already. Sadly, my copy of Vampire died when my secondary hard drive did, but I have the mods on my master drive. I wonder how thorough a job this modmaker did coding a playable Tzimisce....
Yes! Bloodlines rocks! I'm playing as the Malkavian female with high social traits. The text reply options and reactions make every moment of Bloodlines a special moment.
I was playing the female Malkavian too! I still have to see what she looks like in the ultimate body armor (which you can get from Heather right after you finish off the Society of Leopold), but her other outfits are kind of comical (the cheerleader, the cop, the cowgirl, the biker...enough costumes to stock the BDSM section of ad adult toy shop). And for some reason I like how her buggy ponytail flips up and down in the elevators. ;)
My Malky wasn't too social; She was more of a brainy combat monster. She couldn't possibly seduce Dennis for the Astrolite at the beginning (which is the easiest way through that scene), but it's awesome to reach the end of the game, enter Ming Xiao's temple, cripple a mob of about ten guards with Bedlam and just rush in with the bush hook or the magical Sabbat katana, slicing and slaying your way through an orgy of violence until everyone dies. It's really quite spectacular. >:]
Except the haunted house, which always manages to somehow freak me out. GG, developers!
Oh, yes. The father's ghost which blinks out of sight right when you turn around, the toy car that rolls out into the hall right as you pass it, the "GET OUT" wall, the burnt-out bedroom that turns into its old self right up until you grab the amulet....didn't Gamespy award the ocean house "the best game level of 2004"? It would be an award well-deserved. :)

Bloodlines is awesome. Even with all the bugs and weak graphics (compared to HL2), the storyline, gameplay and all those little details they hid in the game make it a choice title. And hey, its Vampire, so that alone makes it stand out! :D
I had a gangrel dude, and he was pretty much unstoppable with his high success rate on feeding, but I ended up getting stuck in the insane asylum level, not knowing where to go. Heh...
And yeah, the ocean house level rocked. The first time I got to it, it was in the middle of the night, and I conviniently decided that I'm too tired and I'll do it in the morning. :P

Details like the television broadcast and the radio show? :)
I like how the newscaster says different weird little things if you're playing a Malkavian. Actually entering a brief conversation with the newscaster in the TV was icing on the cake. It would have had more effect the first time if I hadn't turned off my TV beforehand, I guess. ;)

I have every tycoon game ever made, just not conventionally installed. Most of the offline games I play are management sims (Total Pro Basketball, the Baseball/Football Mogul series, Total Extreme Wrestling, Out of the Park Baseball, Wrestling Spirit, Capitalism 1 & 2, SimCity, etc).
Weatherbug will be swept when CleanSweep next runs (Jan 3rd, if I remember right). The free AOL link gets installed for some stupid reason every time I update AIM but it too will get bombed like Baghdad soon enough. heh and I haven't had that Lexmark printer in almost a year now so the drivers can go too.
Yeah, I log in to SWG every now and again and yes, it blows goats naked in the dead of winter. It's like SOE tried to make a MMOFPSRPGRTS or something and got ALL of the parts all wrong.

Details like the television broadcast and the radio show? :)
Looks like I haven't played as a Malkavian nearly enough! I tried starting over as a Brujah, bit it might still not be too late to switch!
And yeah, overall I meant stuff like reading people's emails, or getting your own ghoul (does she even become useful later on?). I'll really have to check out that Malkavian thing. :D
I'm laughing at you, scaredy cat.
Can't help that I get immersed in games so well. :P
But, in order to get the thread back on topic, here's my current wallpaper.

Like Wids said, it's the only way to get the highest level of armor. So, yes. Oh, and she gets killed if you don't tell her to leave right before a mission at the end of the game

Well here is the one and only Inertial's one and only desktop. :horse:
The image is linked to larger one the size I run my desktop in so you can see it better.
What you see is my GUI, in that me in my love of minimalisim I have no cluttered icons, nothing but clean white space and a bit of little bit of romanticism. There is a built in winamp interface in the GUI along with all kinds of other things, I can press a button and see my system performence at a glance and such nifty things.
If your wondering about the text, its from the E.A. Poe poem Annabel lee, it has special meaning as my name is Lee and my wifes Annabelle.

Hehe... are Shrikes related to "tits (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titmouse) "? hehehe (sorry, I just like saying that... :p )
Oh and here... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrike) this is a pretty cool thing about shrikes...
...known for its habit of catching other birds and small animals and impaling the uneaten portions of their bodies on thorns, so that it can tear them into smaller, more conveniently-sized fragments.
Oooh.. Impaling bodies on thorns... not a very nice bird eh?

Actually, it's an awesome bird. The picture on my desktop is blown up. The bird is tiny but it's technically a bird of prey (a distinction usually reserved for things like hawks, eagles, owls, falcons, etc). For a bird just a little bit bigger than a hummingbird (about 7 inches long) with little tiny feet (that can't be used to kill prey by themselves) to use guile and cunning to get the job done is really cool to me. Don't need a 12-foot wingspan and talons that rip and tear when you can use your environment to your advantage. ;)

I LOOVE Outlaw Star, one of my favorite animes. I got the entire series uncut for $30 online somewhere, I think it was Amazon. The one episode they cut from the series when they aired it on Toonami was the obligitory swimsuit episode in every anime (Hotspring Planet Tenrei), BUT it did leave out a massive plot hole in the series. If you were wondering where Gene got all the awesome bullets for the Caster rifle, that is the episode.
For some reason, i've been obsessed with man meat latley.

That's because you're on a Macintosh, right? The computers where more than a handful of icons on the desktop makes your monitor implode? Or is it one of the computers which doesn't believe in functional desktops? :D

Actually now, its a windows XP pro computer......
Im not running explorer as my GUI shell though. Its a custom litestep shell. It has no desktop icons but it is completly functional. See that little bar atop my screenshot? Thats my GUI, it has built in controls for winamp, a system resources moniter, clock, command line executer, and access to anything of my harddrives easily. I just have a thing for minimalism and sleekness, but functionality must remain.
