Supergroup from Scratch!

Hello again! I'm looking for some people interested in building a Roleplay SG from scratch. I'm pretty sure that I want to be apart of a SG with a "Justice League" flair. I'm looking to start out relatively small so we can roleplay the supergroup's origin through some missions and a Task Force. I'm hoping for at least two more players with characters in the 20 - 26 range who arn't hung up on leveling Main's are a plus, but all characters who get regular play are welcome (with the exception of whoever the leader will be). Diversity is a must. Pretend that I'm building The Surviving Eight here. Without the annoying banter. And please, leave your insanity at the door.

Also, Esbat says there is Punch and Pie!

Well, I know that you're busy, but you are definitely still welcome to join if you think you might be able to dedicate maybe one scheduled mission or a Task Force. Like I said, this isn't about leveling, it's about seeing if it's still possible to build a SG with relationships like in the good 'ol Pre-Beta days.

This is also an opportunity develop those characters that have been overshadowed by our mains. Psionic Gypsy was at one time my main Pre-Beta. Then I created Taloned Owl. None of and poor gypsy's friends made it into the game so she was always just considered the primary alt. Know, I'm ready to develop her more.

I'm not trying to force you, but just ask you to think about it.

Union of Heroes was supposed to be like a coalition of nations and planetary heroes formed by Jaque Chirac who gave it on the duty of a hero called Nomos to come to Paragon to recruit for this Union...

But honestly, I don't think I have the time anywhere for it, me being an SG slut. If you like the name and want it, take it. I think it's a great overall name, I just request my Nomos char be in it at one point.

Hmmm.... I really don't know. I know this will be the hardest thing because there are so many supergroups based on being "Super". I was **hoping** to get some suggestions from the people who joined up.

What I usually do is go through a Thesaurus and Dictionary until I find something to stick with. Here are some words I like:

Superior
Admirable
Meritable
Meritorious
Commendable
Marvelous
Extroadinary
Splendid
Venerable
Honorable
Sterling
Superlative
Supreme
Exemplary
Exceptional
Distinguished
Exquisite
Outstanding
Ornate
Esteemed

With any of those words you can do the following:
The Honorables
The Meritorious
The Admirables
The Superlatives
The Esteemed
League of the Ornate
Marvelous Men
Distinguished Gentlemen
Supreme Power
The Superior Hand
Superior Authority

And so on. Then you narrow it down to what's been taken. It's just a matter of mismatching words until you come up with something that has a silver ring to it. Anyways, that's my formula for supergroup naming. Words out of the ordinary catch my eye the quickest, though.

Unfortuately the two had a falling out and drifted their separate ways. Nexus eventually met and married Liberty Girl. You know oddly enough when you guys mentioned The Union of Superheroes. I had posted a long long time ago a similar group back on the pre-beta boards. Only it was to be run like an actual union with different branches on each server. The original one was Union of Superheroes: Local 911 but I erased it off the board after people told me that it was offensive. (How the number for fire, medical, and police is offensive is beyond me but hey to each his own I guess). I still have all of the old charter and other stuff that I never implemented.

I could also release the name Section X (That's the roman numeral for 10 not an X. It was not a mutant group) to you if you wanted Owl.

Here just for fun is my old charter. Take it with a grain of salt. Its completely outdated to say the least. But I was having fun.

The Damage Control that is mentioned in there was a team I had been working on as a sort of clean up crew/insurance agency for hero organizations. Someone beat me to the punch in game so I never implemented the idea though they had been set as NPC's for a pre-beta Crisis style event. It had my characters Red-Cross, Angel Nurse, Candle, Haz-Matt, Hammer, Nails, EMT, and Pulse (all written NPC's from my old Champions games).

Well, there are a couple of differences between the two, when you think about it. For instance, he's starting 12's and under and I'm starting around 20-30. He's thinking X-Men, I'm thinking Justice League.

I really like it and welcome aboard. I'm sorry if anyone has been looking for me in game. After today's patch, the game just became unbearable to play. Unless things get better, I'm not going to be reactivating my account ASAP. I can't afford to play a game that's so laggy that it no longer becomes enjoyable. I had requests sent to support, and I've been asking various gurus for help. Until then, I'm still moving forward.
