This was the closest I ever got to doing real professional artwork. About a year ago I had won a contest at Amazing Fantacy Comics and I got the chance to get some work published. I was given the task of doing an action scene of Spiderman for Marvel comics. But at the time I had just started my job and I never made the deadline.

The concept was A bank was just robbed and Spiderman drops down to punch the robbers lights out. The robbers face can be seen glossed in his eyes. The pose of Spidey was inspired by iron fist

Dunno when I'll finish it. I'm going to try and get some pro colors on this when It's finished. But all the peeps I know are buisy with other things so...one can only hope.

I think he might be thinking of using that balled up fist he has there. Just a hunch though.

Really that's a great piece there. I like how you deviate for a lot of artists and only give spidey human muscles :) Seriously though, that rocks!

Dammit, Veik! Not at all meaning to rub it in, but that is one last opportunity! That pic is really kick-ass and should have opened you doors at Marvel. :(

Veik, after going to the comiccon today I thought of a great way you could make a ton of cash. Set up a booth and draw a bunch of comic characters to sell off.

What muscle structure do other artists give him?

A fair number of artist just pile in extra muscles - especially in the torso area. I remember McFarlane was pretty bad about it during his run.

Man, the detail in this is awsome! The perspective is great, the pose is classic Spider-Man, the features on the mask, the thugs face.. all awsome!

I've never heard him say he's been trying to get a job at either one. Do you want a job at Marvel/DC, Veik?

I made a pretty penny doing that in middle and high school...some people wanted some pretty freaky stuff though, involving either Jasmine from Aladin with Vash/trigun right down to Goku/DBZ with Whilma from Scooby Doo...but I wont go into details.

I would rather start with a smaller publisher and work with another artist to get used to dealing with that kind of pressure.

I was offered a couple jobs with toon porn sites, heck gettin PAID is the HARDEST part, I did one small series and never got paid, get your money after doing some proofs and get everything in writing, tho it may not help with the lowball/sleeze flyby night porn sites, oh yeah KEEP your originals just send PDF's.

Not sure why I degenerated into the toon porn industry, maybe just to vent heh,

I wonder how it would look if you added like a hand firing a gun and the bullet barely missing him...kinda a first-person mid-action dealie

Otherwise...I still hate you fo being so damn good at drawing.

Now only if Marvel was interested in a comic book featuring the amazing adventures of crudely drawn stick figures, I'd be set. :P
