The Insurrectionists are recruiting. You can hit our site at the above link. I'm posting our manifesto and goal here in an attempt to spark interest in the group.

Manifesto:
The current social structure of the world is flawed. People have proven throughout the ages that they cannot control either themselves or those around them. Governments have erred in allowing individuals to think and act freely for themselves. We will remove these freedoms in the interest of providing one unified world. Under the rule of our glorious leader, Ebon Flux, the Insurrectionists will lead the world as it shoudl be run. Any freedoms or privileges will only be those that we grant. People will respect their rights more if they have to earn them instead of having them freely given to them. A better world will be obtained by our taking control and tearing down and eventually rebuilding your lives.

Goal:
The Insurrectionists is a 'super villain organization' within the NCSoft and Cryptic Studios online computer game City of Villains. We are a group of light to moderate 'role players' that not only play in the game but 'act out' the intentions, attitudes, feelings and motivations of the characters that we play while in game. The 'goal' is to be banded together in the claiming of power over the world structure in the interest of forming one power structure over mankind run by us for their betterment. This involves not only the sublimation of the normal population of the world, but also the assorted 'super heroes' or other villainous organizations that believe themselves to be above our goals.

Looking for members! The Insurrectionists are formed and Ebon Flux is looking for individuals that share his vision of reforming the world structure by running it themselves. Please come on by and give us a look. We're newly formed and eager for new members.

Perhaps a Coalition could be formed?

Perhaps a Coalition could be formed?

We could, but to be honest. If I don't get any members soon, I'll be scrapping the whole thing. Guess I'm just not popular enough. :|

Let me guess, that'd be the colors of Dark Shroud?

Maybe we all (Insurrectionists, Dark Shroud, Corrupters of Paragon) should have a talk.

Meh, I think you're just limiting yourself to Guru members is all. I'm not above teaming with non-gurus or the same heroes I teamed with in CoH. Sure I have 4-5 Gurus, but that's only a third of the membership. Imo if you want Insurrection to survive contact poeple in-game, and in beta forum. When I first started DS I had about 40 or so members. Now, some say I just accepted anyone, but unfortunately it's not that easy. I PMed any character I saw on Crey Industries that had a storyline that would be usable with the Dark Shroud, found their forum name listed and contacted them asking if they would be interested in joining a villain team and if so, what their backround, etc, etc, was like before allowing them in. So it was just as much of a requirement to join DS than any other group, it's just that I took more of an aggressive approach. if you have the time I suggest PMing random Hero Corps poeple like that when D'Arkaine has it up and running. It'd take you hours and weeks to do it, especially now that the website has grown popular, but you'd get your members. ;)

I got to agree with Morc..you got to go outside CoHGuru and TDoP. Those guys tend to stick together. And wait until CoV goes live. You will see you will have a easier time recruiting in-game than on forums. That is how I started the Knights and we now boast 80+ individual players and about 200 characters. Don't give up just yet. I also found attending Virtue Community events like Alliance meetings and what-not a good way to recruit. People saw that your group is active and wanted to join in. I know the CoV community has not gotten up and running but I am sure you will see alot of the same there as in CoH.

Yeah, I've posted on both the COV beta boards and on the regular COH boards, but I haven't been really pushing it, choosing to at least have the game released first. I figured it should be easier to recruit when there's an actual game to form the SG in.

Aye my position, though I've been lucky with some people and especially DoP... But it's all about the ingame.
