As some of you might remember, I made a poll a while ago if the Global Friend List size should be increased, the current maximum friends atm being 50. I sent the responsible person at Cryptic (the lead programmer) a link to the poll and he answered with "hahaha. tell 'em to get more than 50 people to vote on it and i'll fix it."
Sure, we can do that! So vote, everybody, vote! Within a week we had 166 members, we can get 50 votes!

I voted yes, as your global list will, by its very nature be larger than your standard list. I mean, we're talking cross server.

Does anyone know if they fixed the "lack of anonymity" that Global Chat causes? To recap: If you click on any toon and send a request to add them to your global friend list, that person's Global handle is revealed to you, even if they say no. This may sound like nothing, but if you think about it, it really is rather too intrusive. The fact that when a request is made to you, you HAVE to give an answer also bothers me. The window only gives you a "yes" or "no" option. There is no little red "close" button like on other game windows. The window stays even if you log out and return with the same or other character.
I've posted this on the official boards along with a few others and I have sent a couple of PM's to states asking about this, but I have yet to see any kind of reply.( I am hoping there has been one and I just missed it)
So again, my question: Anyone know if they fixed it? I can't find any indications of if they have.

Indeed! And many people play on more than one server so this list should be at least 11 (how many servers are there?) times larger than the local friend list.

I'm thinking like...125...would be good. I mean, they could even do away with the regular server friends' list. It just gets in my way.
That list is what? 75? Add the 50 from Global and you could have 125 all one ONE list, and not increase your dbase storage one bit. It'd probably make things easier since you'd only have one list to manage.
Make sense?

Agreed, server-to-server 50 is probably too small

I'll never fill up 50, but i dont care how many there are, so 100or 200 or 726,327 it dosent really matter to me.

I already sent the lead programmer a link to this poll. But he's swamped with work right now, so it's not really a priority to him. :grr:
