I'm not the biggest of art request takers, but I have been doing CoH art for 3 1/2 years now, from characters to mugens to banners. I think I can post a pic here every leap year...

I love the facial expression, too. It's sort of a half smile, but there's that hint of sadness in the eyes, as well. That's probably about as close to a smile as Widdy gets. :D

I just finished the pencil work of the pic I'm currently working on for Cryo. Since I'm inking it digitally, the frame of the mirror she's looking into is only indicated and the shattered mirror itself will be added later (I'll shatter a part of the pic, so to speak). So far I'm really happy with the pic.

At first I had a really hard time with Kryo's face though. I wanted to make it evilish, grinning/smirking demonic, but it looked weird, whatever I did. There was a point where she looked like one of the zombies from Evil Dead, that was when I started from scratch with the face... :rolleyes:

It's when you get into the permanent injuries like brain damage, lost teeth and broken bones that weren't set properly...that's when getting into fights for a living starts to suck. But I imagine the hospital pods fix a lot of that. :think:

I love the facial expression, too. It's sort of a half smile, but there's that hint of sadness in the eyes, as well. That's probably about as close to a smile as Widdy gets. :D

Plus, it's quite obviously a challenge. So that's a complicated mix of emotion.

Little update on what it looks now atm. I'm using Veik's inking technique this time. Pretty easy, though time-consuming, looks awesome in the end.

Using the lasso in Photoshop, creating selections. Takes time to not make it too edgy, but the lines just look smooth in the end, very clean and of course perfectly black.

Okay, a quick update. Haven't gotten this far optically, but I've spent hours between the last version and this one. The new coloring I'm trying is very hard to pull off and time consuming.

The wall doesn't look too much like a wall yet. Some shadows and texture will change that. I'm still working on the leather pants, the shine is hard to do (leather always is). The next big step is her costume, then Kryo's face. The rest shouldn't be as hard.
I'm especially proud of how her face turned out, though the details get lost the smaller the pic is.

Only thing I can say is maybe tone down the nipple shine and crack or add gleam to the mirror cause it looks sortof like a window, can't tell it's a reflection unless you're told.

I really like th pants and the way the top fits. The expresion on Cryo's face is perfect. Kryo's face looks great as well. I like the hair a lot more. The mirror and the cat are great symbols for Cryo/Kryo

If your trying to make the mirror look more like a.. mirror.. try adding a few white lines like light reflection over the mirror Poison, that might make it look more mirror-ish.
