This actually doesn't suprise me. With them putting out half done pieces of **** like SWG and rehashed EQ2, SOE proved a long time ago that they only care about how fast, how much, and how many different ways can they find to take customers money.

Unfortunately too many of their player base never wise up and keep giving them money.

Maybe it's just me, but maybe this is an attempt at controlling a secondary market that previously they had no controll over and were getting bagged for?

You don't know how many times I've heard people get mad for buying something on the secondary market with real money only to get ripped off, and then try to complain to SOE for it. Maybe this is Soney's attempt to just controll the secondary market.
