New Procedures

Alright, it is time to sort through things and get us to where we are suppose to be as an SG in Paragon City. Here are some rules that I would like to address and enforce, govern yourselves accordingly.

1.) Lengthy inactivity (Excuse or Non-Excused). - Some of you have valid reasons for your lengthy days of lengthy inactivity in the game. Others of you have no real excuses. So I'm establishing a reserves SG. This will do one of two things, 1.) store those of our bretheren that need the time to take a leave of absence from the game, the boards, AIM sessions and anything else related to the Order, without being penalized for it. 2.) House alts that have a role in the Order, but don't always get the loving they need, thus freeing up spaces for incoming members that will contribute more to our needs. A 30 day inactivity policy is ineffect for this. I will begin removing those that have excuses and those that don't have excuses in the near future, so that I can have more postions open for those that are recruited ingame. When those of you come back from your leave of absences..you'll have a postion in the reserves them waiting for you.

This will also prevent anyone new from leaving, without a valid reason I hope.

2.) Alt Policy. - Some of you have several alts in the SG. Some of them I know their purpose, others I don't. Make their purpose known, if you want them in the main team. Otherwise..they go to the reserves. No exceptions here.

3.) Website Status and Forum Particpation. - Now apparently I can't make most of you particpate on our own website and forum, nor can I make you rp with me on the boards or anywhere else for that matter. That's fine and all, but I plan to still have a website and message boards. I'll be lax with it though..and only require that you use it to check updates on the team status and such. There will be messages posted here and on www.silentworldorder.com in the near future.

4.) Grouping - As most of you know, I'm at a higher level that the majority of you, and that means I can't always team with every soul in the SG. I don't know if it's discouraging you from playing your character or not, but I'm enforcing those of you that are around the same level to team up more often than before. I'm working on something that will get play times established (concrete times that will notify you what days you get together and play.(

5.) SWO chat channel - I advise everyone to start using it more, including myself. Or i'll simply get rid of it..if it isn't needed that much.

6.) Recruiting Ingame - I'm going to designate anyone who wants to volunteer to recruit for us ingame. Their main purpose is to recruit worthy personel to fill our ranks. If you feel like you can handle the job, then send me a pm stating why.

7.) Team Meetings (Will Be Mandatory) - I'm going to hold one team meeting a week that will be mandatory. This means, at some form or fashion you have to get my attention and let me speak with you, whether it be in game, forums, email, pm, whatever. If not, come out to the meeting at it's scheduled date and see what we are all about and what we are doing. If you do not come to a meeting, you will be given a Strike (x). If you get three of them in session (missing three meetings in a row), I will remove you from the SG. It doesn't make sense for some of you missing these meetings, mostly I feel like it is on purpose.

I have no need for you, and this isn't a house for your alt. Nuff Said.

If you can't accept any of these rules, then I ask that you take your leave right now.

i have yet to see a problem with the rules as posted something you may want toi consider as well is following up an SWO rp session with a mish or 2 that way you aslos get SWO groupage

One serious issue with that. Level differences..and of course commitment to coming to said meetings..

And you act like we don't ALREADY do that anyway...

I ended up just deleting my character. I don't really give him enough play time and it's not really fair to the SG as a whole to keep someone on that is really inactive.

In truth I just don't feel like going through the lowbie levels all over again, I thought about trying to get another one of my heavily played mid to high level characters in but none of them would truly fit the theme.

Anyway, I apoligize about the inactivity and such and hope you can get some new blood in to replace me and others that are inactive. :)

The rules sound fine to me. I have no problem teaming with anyone in the SWO, regardless of level. Hot for Teacher just hit 40 and needs to slow back down again, so rsk's and rp only for awhile!

I have no problems with these...Although I recommend moving StarlightSentry to reserves adn Agent Ex altogether. I don't play Ex nearly often enough and Kheldians story arcs are fun but the AT just doesn't appeal to me.

I have no problem with any of the new procedures other than the mandatory meetings. Actually I don't really have a problem with them personally, its just that I'm more unlikely to be available since I work most nights now. Unfortunately I'm not sure what to suggest for that.

Forgot to give my info, I think the rules are fine myself. But.. with the way things have been going for me I may have to drop from the SG since I can't make it to most meetings. Maybe I could be labled a "friendly" or "contact" and just hang around in the SWO channel from time to time if it comes to that. Either way, I'll do what I can to be around more, like I said.. the rules are fair so I have no arguments and shall try to abide by them.

May as well give Smacks lots of strikes because A) The team meetings are held during times I'm not allowed near a computer. Unless you really want to deal with a person so angry and pissed off who has been known to throw CD's very accurately into walls/ceilings and B) Because the graphics on my character are messed up (still working with people on this and trying not to get screwed with if you know what I mean)

So that is my two cents you can either keep my character or drop him from the team. Just PM me and tell me what is going on. As for the web stuff (forums) I generally get on there lurk around and since I don't see anything pertaining to as SK put it once "Lower echelon thugs" I don't generally post unless my buttons are pushed.

I feel like Smacks has yet to find a role in this team and personally do not know how I can remedy that. So let me know. Thanks.

Well later then. I freely admit that Lady Victoria is an alt. I like playing her and will probably play her more frequently as I'm getting into her character. In fact, it was the team concept of SWO that made me finally find a decent bio and 'purpose' for her. However, I have no desire to get tied down in the requirements and rules to be part of another SG. Was it wrong of me to put her on SWO let alone any SG? Yes, it probably was, I apologize. But I figured as long as I logged in her played her every ten days or so, and talked with people in the sg channel and did some teaming with SWO members, I'd be okay.

I understand you want to get SWO to be successful with more members that are active, but I'm sorry, Lady Victoria is my alt, and I'm not ready to commit to her as a main. I don't bear any hard feelings so please don't think I'm leaving all pissy. Just saying that with your push to get more activity from your members, I should take my leave now instead of trying to commit more time to SWO and having to leave later for not fulfilling my end. Whoa, whoa, Prez chill man. I never said you pointed me out specifically and I surely didn't mean to imply that your comments and new procedures were aimed at me.

All I'm saying is that I have two alts, Crimsonstar and Lady Victoria. I play them both back and forth, sometimes I'll play one more than the other for weeks at a time. With the level of committment you want and would like from the members of SWO, I don't want to say "Sure no problem" and then find that I either can't or don't committ to the level of activity with Lady Victoria and to the SG that I should.

I'm not leaving the SG because I feel you're telling me to 'get lost if I don't put in the effort' only because I don't want to end up disappointing if I did stay and then became another member that you only see every 30 days or so, and yes, there could be times where I don't log in on her for that long. I went through a stretch last summer where I played Crimsonstar exclusively for about two months, and wasn't even playing CL at that time.

So are we good? I'm not offended or pissed at you, and I don't want you pissed at me. I really meant Good Luck when I said it and wasn't being sarcastic.

First off I have no problem with these rules.
Second, I could never access the site....so I never went.

I like the SWO and I like Jimmy being in them. In fact he became my main for a time becuse he was in SWO. (also he looks good in his alt outfit...heh)

I have a couple things working aginst me thogh.

First off I do have my own SG to run. The Centurions if any of you didnt know (and shame if you didnt :P ) BUT, since V is 50 I rarely get him out unless its to play in the arena or if someoen needs his help. Also some offical SG stuff.

Secondly, my Cape duties effectivly remove 6-8 hours of my playtime a week.
But I dont mind that so much. I love DJing on the Cape. Any request?

And third. I work during the evening and night. my play times are basically a couple hours befor work (1-4pm) and the early morning hours 1-6am cst
So I rarely see anyone on anyways. I assume most people play during the times that I am at work...cus on my days off I see a crapload of peopel on. This makes it very difficult to attend anything. Let alone meetings


Although I have no problems getting Jimmy on alot. And do enjoy talking and teaming with other SWO members. I can't promise anything more than that.
If you wish to bump me from the SG or move me to the reserve one I compleatly understand Prez.

Although if it becomes to much and you just say fawk it, you come see me. I think the Centurions would be happy to have you. ;)

Okay, so...basically...Im going to reactivate my account after homecoming weekend...(This upcoming weekend). Hopefully afterthat everything will settle down and Ill be able to get on more.
