Okay, so with beta happening, the SG has sparked interest again. What is this again? A villain group open to all of Gurus board members. A combination of power gamers/Role players united for the force of.. eviiiilll!

We still need a name for the live game. It'll be on Virtue, all of Guru is welcome, and their alts. Whether we'll allie ourselves with the already existing villains groups, like Malice in Wonderland and Dark Shroud... We'll see! Mwahahaha

So.. Throw up all your name ideas on here, and a poll will include all the choices to decide. Only rule, its non-theme to have any type of character in here. Doppelgangers, psychos, anti-heroes, business men, Celine Dion, clones, machines, magicians, Democrats, Republicans, dogs, cats, aliens, pastries, and so on and so forth. RP wise, just the experts of whatever they do best in Rogue Isles.

So get to it! I'll try to edit this post constantly to update the list of names

Gurus of Pain
Optimum Villainy
Guruesome
Dastards
Legion of Gurus
Gurus Of Domination - G.O.D.
Guild of Calamitous Intent
Gurus of Malice
Gurus of Suffering
Gurus of Anguish
Bloody Gurus of Torture and Mayhem
Gurus of Crime

Celine Dion? I thought we were trying to rule the world, not destroy it.

I like Gurusome. I think we should call the group PWDENTGPG: Punks Who Disappear Every Night To Go Play Guildwars. :P

But.. but.. my SG? Hrmm. I need more villain concepts, looks like. Oh wait, nevermind, I have one. The retard hero, that all the villains take advantage of by convincing him evil is good and good is evil. Yes. It's perfect. It's like.. foolishly foolproof, or something.

I like Guruesome, too.

I'd prefer Gurus of something, pain is cool enough. Gurus are people who excell in a something.
Guruesome is a nice pun, but looks like a stupid typo.

And I'll definitely have a char in the SG.

We are much too awsomely villainous to be contained to one server... we definately need to create the SG on several servers. Pinnacle, Justice and Protector come to mind.

No objection there :) We have these boards, and the channel, we'd be able to keep in contact

Well, most of the Guru heroes are in their own (but possibly connected through Coalition) Supergroups, so I figure that'll hold true for villains, as well. One Supergroup for all of us probably isn't going to work very well. That and the fact that so many of us are on different servers.

However, one idea I had the other day is a villain Supergroup that would trade out their heroes' archrivals. (I'm pretty sure it's been discussed before, although maybe not as a Supergroup) Each member of the group would provide a description and personality for his archrival, then create the archrival of someone else. Then your heroes will actually be able to compete against their own archrivals instead of stumbling across somebody else's villain.

A similar idea might be a sidekicks or partner Supergroup for heroes.

Jade Dragon: A supergroup is a bit more than JUST a method of keeping in touch. We already have the global channels for that. It's a trademark. A signature. We can ALWAYS keep in touch, through the global channel. To me, this is about association. So that people can look at you and go, "Hey, that guy's a Guru. Cool."

Hey, I'm just sayin'. If it was so cool, we'd already have one. :D

BTW, I think the name should be "DOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!" :D

Consider this a pre-emptive strike before that happens  It was far too late to do this for a hero SG. And I'm not putting DOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!! up there! ;)

And if its even close to how popular it is in Guild Wars right now, its going to do great

Any chance we can get 7 more suggestions? From people who hasn't posted preferably. That way I can do two polls of 10, then the winners of those two can face off in a Super-Mega-Poll.

Gurus of Crime sounds cool.

I was thinking, RPwise, it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense, that mixed origins, backgrounds etc. mingled in this way, so I started thinking, RP wise, couldn't we claim to live in the same neighbourhood ala. the Astro City arc, Tarnished Angel?

And yeah that playing another person's archenemy is a great idea.

Masked Revenger

I'm all for this idea.

My votes are for:

Gods of Unrest, Rebellion, and Uproar
Guru's of Crime

I also like the idea of making it a group of other hero's villans, but there's a few wrinkles with it. First off, some of us play on different servers. I mean, I have characters on Virtue, but the highest is 10. That combined with a limited playing time (like maybe 2 hours a night), and the chances of me getting a villian up to changeling status for a hero any time soon is non-existant.

I'm not against the idea, just point out a few flaws with it.

Heh :D Well.. I was hoping that the #1 poll could get 6 more votes.. Make the two polls even.. but seems 6 specific people are lazy :D

It appears it will remain this way....so make with the superpoll! :D
