Post your new power suggestions here.

Mine is an old favorite from the HERO system.

Find Weakness - being able to locate an opponants weakness in their defenses. this would probably fit in best as an epic power pool, as a clicky with a duration.

Called shots (targeting a specific point and attacking it for a status effect)

these could be clickys with durations to allow you to add a low magnitude status effects to your attack powers.
1st power "Leg shot" gives a chance to slow,
2nd power "solar plexus smash" a chance to disorient,
3rd power "groin shot" knockdown,
4th power "Head Shot" hold/mez.

Find weakness would make a cool skill.

I'd like to see a new scrapper/tanker powerset: chainsaw. +++lethal damage -accuracy, slow reloads, chance of disorient/knockback with most attacks.

I'd like to see some epic powers added. The current ones practically force me to be Superman with my Invulnerable/Super strength tanker. Taking conserve power wasn't horrible for me, in fact its pretty cool to save my stamina. But all the energy powers make no sense for me at all, and the eyebeams would make me so Superman as to make me lose all respect for what I managed to do. I mean, even though I wanted flight terribly, I took Super-jump to make myself my own man. So as it was, I only took 1 epic power, and that was pretty dissapointing.

So anyhow, I'm hoping they will add some things to Invulnerabiltity like a Psychic version of Tough Hide or something that will cut down the psychic damage a person takes. It doesn't have to be ridiculous, just decent. I also think a power that acts like Phasing or Moment of Glory where you can't be harmed for a few seconds would be nice ofr Invincibility. Fighting Paragon Protectors who throw on their version of Invincibility or MoG and I pound away on them and do virtually no damage is very frustrating, since I feel like I should have something like that in my set.

As for Super Strength, I would love to see another throw added where Super Strength people throw cars, boats, appliances, whatever. It wouldn't be too differet from the gravity controller's hurl powers. Imagine a fastball special even...I'd love that. Having deformable environments would allow for lamp post swings and such, but I can wait for that. One thing I thought would be great is a Grapple. SS should have a hold where the just pin somebody and everyone can beat on them, or the tanker can maybe gain some stats back without taking damage for a few seconds.

Just a few things I thought would be nice.

I know it's been bandied about forever, but I still want to see a Damage Resistance power in Super Reflexes, ie. "Roll with the Punches" or "Glancing Blow". Maybe not as good as "Tough" from the Power Pool, but I think it'd go a long way in balancing out SR as an overall set.

To make room, maybe roll Focused Senses and Evasion together or something. It's insane that you can't get decent cone protection untill late in the set: Those thugs all have shotguns that you can't dodge for squat right out of the gate.

The other sets have a token DEF or DR power, it's only natural that SR have a "cross skil", also.

If you wanna go all out, roll Agile and Lucky together and stick something akin to Fast Healing or Quick Recovery in there. I mean, if you are so in tune with your body, you'd think an SR's metabolism would be higher than normal, too.

Speaking of Super Strength suggestions........I'd love to see a fastball special....*looks around for BB* :chuckle:

Another thing I was thinking about was the mechanical enemies that you face during the game (mostly because of an insane DE/Nemesis portal mish I was in yesterday) but how cool would it be to take a piece (say a leg or something) from a fallen bot and use it as a weapon (ala Puck from Transformers the Movie). :cool: Sure...it's a bit out there but a guy can dream can't he.

I'd like to see a real Superspeed AT, something that really feels more like a superspeed powerset than martial arts with hasten. In my mind, the power effect would duplicate the costume of the player, then project it out doing a whole bunch of crazy moves. Mostly AOE damage with a decent defense, but vulnerability to mezzes.

I like Called Shots, that's a cool concept. There are status effects in most Power Sets, but usually it's only one, and you don't get to choose what type it is. (It's determined by the set)

I think Hurl should randomly generate an object to hurl by default. Hurl Boulder will still be there for the old effect, and in the comics super strength heroes usually just grab whatever is available. (Including sometimes allies :D)

Yeah, I like this idea. It could work the same as the gravity control power, just different starting animation (the hero bending over to pick up whatever is being thrown).

I remember the hobby shop, and a certain game called Warhammer 40,000, and one of the Imperial Assassins you could play called the Eversor Assassin. And one of his powers was that he was good at turning the numbers of his enemies against them...you know, throwing them into each other, pushing or pulling them in front of their comrades' attacks, diverting melee attacks into other nearby enemies, taking advantage when they hesitate because they're afraid of hitting their comrades, that sort of thing. The end result was that the more the enemies who engaged the assassin in melee at the same time, the higher his damage bonus was.

There are Dark Armor powers in City of Heroes where a Scrapper gains faster healing for every Villain in melee with him. Instead of healing, why not augment the Scrapper's damage instead? This would be most fitting for Super Reflexes, especially seeing as it's the one Scrapper secondary with no powers for healing and a little compensation elsewhere would be nice.... :D

Well, actually there are quite a few Tanker and Scrapper Power Sets that include a Power that is based on the number of foes in melee:

Invincibility (Invulnerability) - +Def and +Acc for each foe in melee
Energy Absorption (Ice Armor) - +Def for each foe in melee
Consume (Fiery Armor) - End gain is based on number of foes in melee
Dark Regeneration (Dark Armor) - Regeneration is based on number of foes

Also, this is a bit iffy, but Blazing Aura, Icicles and Death Shroud could be said to be based on number of foes in melee, since they are PBAoE attacks.

The remaining Powers Sets, however, DON'T have a scaling defense Power:

Earth Armor
Regeneration
Super Reflexes

Personally, I think I would rather leave Super Reflexes as is. For one thing, it's probably one of the best for ranged defense. It's also a perfect mesh with Stealth, to separate out foes and take them on one at a time. I don't think I would want to be concerned over the fact that I would be penalizing myself by taking on less opponents. It seems more suited to a single target strategy, and combined with MA it's even more so.

I think an offensive power was suggested at one time, though. (I believe it was +Dam and +Acc, but didn't scale. Called "Precognition") It wouldn't be totally out of keeping with the concept.

every player gets one, it does no damage, it's PVP only, not useable in the arena.

what it does is HUGE knockback followed by a high magnitude stun.
