Odd forum happening

Consider this a bug thread for these forums. :p

Ok. I hit the reply button on a thread and I write up a post, hit the submit button and when the page comes up-my post isn't there. I refresh the page. The post isn't there. I hit the reply button again and it lists my post with the others and it shows up as the last post when I view new posts. Odd this is.

I've noticed this from time to time as well. Don't know if it's some sort of database "lag" as everything seems to work fine after 10 minutes or so *shrug*

I'm having the same problem as well. Not sure what it is though. :)

I had a post disappear, and I had at least one post "hang" so long that I posted two replies wondering what happened to it before they all three finally appeared at once.

I'm also getting a lot of "page not found" errors, which may be related. Maybe the workplace security is sort of half-blocking it...

Guild Wars just had its last beta event, and so our sister site www.guildwarsguru.com has been getting hammered [just check at its peak users on the forums]. So we do have a new server, and are slowly updating it and prepping it for the move. CreyIndustries.com alongwith some other sites have already been moved there, so there should be less of these timeouts. The new server also has 4 instead of 1 gb ram so that should maek a huge difference.

Stranger still, yet related, is when a thread says there's a new post, but when I click on it, it's not showing up, no matter what I do.

I'm having an issue where I'll hit Submit Reply go to a page not found screen hit back, hit Submit Reply again and it is coming up as a duplicate post -- but my post count is *not* going up...

I have these problems as well, but I consider them as a "hint" that I should do something more important, like reading something for my studies.... :conscienc

I seem to have broken the jiggly thread.
First, my message was 'too short', so I added extraneous text to lengthen it.
Then, when the post didn't appear and I attempted to repost, I received a message that it was a duplicate to one I'd posted within five minutes.
Now, the index states that I was indeed the last poster, but the post doesn't appear.

I did manage to hit the 'back' button enough times to get to the original message that I'd attempted to post, and am pasting it here for Esbat's benefit.
