"lvls 32-39 - Vlad's Impailers - Valdermic"

Y'know, for a game based on a literary medium, you'd think that they could hire people that are able to spell, unless this team's M.O. involves a bucket.

Maybe the bucket is part of their elaborate 'Mop The Floor' plan.

Hmm....Death Force Omega has a nice ring to it methinks....Perhaps Darth Frost can make an appearance... :father:

Me thinks I may join one of the lowbie groups with Yellow-Guy. Now I just have to decide on chicken or espresso. :D

Damn. I wish I had a 40-45. Death Force Omega is a fantastic name.

Blue Bolt

Death Force Omega for me!!!! :D

The Icy One
04-20-2005, 09:32 PM
Well.. I was going to go with Alt-F4 since it'd be the underdog.. but all the PCity guys so far went to the other.

I figure that everyone else will be going for Vlad's Impailers [sic], so Storm Riders for me. :D

So far it is far from exciting.

Somehow my level 15 getting repeatedly killed by level 23s wasn't quite as fulfilling as I had hoped.

Oh well.

Well I got into a group with Bolt, put three shields on people then I crashed. Went into the free for all, got killed by a spine scrapper, knocked Ren on her ass with a force bolt then I crahed again. All in all a fun night.

The low level fight is over. Much fun was had by me in the guise of Yellow-Guy (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/amoebaman/AllYouCanYellow.jpg). I joined General Tsao's team All You Can Eat. There was some waiting (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/amoebaman/Waiting.jpg) around before the start (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/amoebaman/Start.jpg), but this allowed for team photos and discussing tactics we planned on using. There was some concern that CuppaJo (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/amoebaman/TakeThatJo.jpg) being lvl 50 would be a problem, but team All You Can Eat (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/amoebaman/ReadyForAction.jpg) was ready.

All in all I had a lot of fun. I didn't think I'd enjoy PVP as much as I have, but these team events seem cool. I hope the other people that participated in tonights event hsd fun.

Oh, and All You Can Eat lost to CuppaJo's team. I think it was because she had a better recruiting drive then the General, but I'm not complaining.

Hey! I was there too! :D Hehehe in all seriousness it was a pretty good time. We put together Team Virtue 1 and went to work on bashing anything that moved. The best thing was there was a tank mobster on the other team who could hardly scratch me (although they did redzone me when 5 or so of em dogpiled Frosty). I'll throw up some pics later.

Team Death Force Omega's black on black wasn't quite as cool looking as the Impaler's red on black but with a lil customizing it was nice.

I wasn't able to attend as I had promised that I'd work last night. *sigh*
But I can say that I think the team vs team play is outstandingly FUN. I participated in a match of 8-8 person(or so) teams as seen Here (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=2686659&page=2&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1#2686659). Almost everyone there was bumped down to a lvl 5. It was a blast even if I only had 3 attacks. I really can't wait to have a Pcity arena teams match. :singdance

Well, it was the best slideshow ever, wasn't it? I even managed to get in two kills despite the horrible frame rate. :D

Alright! Here's several shots of Team Virtue (woo!) of Death Force Omega.

I'm sure these two Pcity heroes are familiar (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v631/FrostCoH/Test%20Screens/screenshot_2005-04-20-21-33-03.jpg)
Another of Team Virtue (the ones in PI 1 anyway) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v631/FrostCoH/Test%20Screens/screenshot_2005-04-20-21-35-20.jpg)
And Team Virtue in Death Force Omega colors *boots hero out of the way* (http://photobucket.com/albums/v631/FrostCoH/Test%20Screens/?action=view&current=screenshot_2005-04-20-21-36-11.jpg)

In all honesty I hated it. My team was horribly disorganised and completely ignored pleas to rally or at least stick with their subgroup. Plus, the aforementioned constant gangraping by level 23s. A guy in my team was supposed to SK me, but couldn't-- or claimed he couldn't, who knows.

On a more level playing field, teamed with people I know, I imagine it would be much more enjoyable. The few times I actually got in a battle with someone near my level it got my pulse pounding a little. Of course, seconds later four of their level 23 team mates would jump me and I'd just groan again.

Also, several times I respawned right in the middle of a group of enemies. There needs to be some kind of control for that.

Disconnected and just logged to live servers. After wasting an hour putzing around with morons who can't hit the ready button and Vald having problem's on his/her end I wasted a good amount of time last night.

I swear, what was Thessalia's problem, anyway? Did she or he not understand what a Ready button is? :grr:

We got a lot of idiots like that in Ace's 9 too.

Am I the only one that thinks we should have our own PCity tournament? I mean, it'd be a little less crowded, plus there would be a much lower Educated to Moron Ratio. I think sometime tommorow or saturday night would be good for that...... Just saying.

The Widowed
04-21-2005, 07:21 PM
That's not a bad idea, actually. Maybe Urban Bushido should organize it? :D

Kurai Inago

Well, it seems I've given Wid another idea. And I love it when that happens, because good things always seem to come from it. And yeah, UB should play a major role.

I read on the offical boards that she got disco'd but was still showing as being online. That's her story and she stuck to it.

YES! That is what I'm talking about. A good fun match against other forum goers! Come on... who wants to see how many times the pirate is defeated?? :P

I for one, will not be in PvP very much unless it is a fun match, SG match or some fun RP.

The idea of a PCity tourny is old news. Check this thread where the idea began, and died a little bit ago.

Naturally, Noble's the only one who remembers that topic. :chuckle:

I think that was more of an ongoing thing, though, not a huge one-shot.

Lorash
04-22-2005, 06:19 AM
It might've come up sooner and evolved naturally, if it had been followed up on.

But thanks, Noble, it's nice to know that someone thinks something I type might have some relevance.
