The Look of the Forum thread

This place is really shaping up nicely, looks sharp, great job guys. I'm liking it. There are still however a couple small improvements that could be made, in my opinion. The buttons for making new threads and posts are the ones that stand out the most, the Post Reply, Edit, Quote buttons, that sort of thing. They have a little ragged white border around them, the sign of a bad GIF, and they just don't fit the theme well. Maybe something more like the chat tabs inside COH, since we're using the powers icons for posts? Also, the Post New Thread screen that I'm looking at right now is, well, a rather eye-twisting white. Any chance that could be changed to fit the black and blue theme of the board, or is that hard-coded?

Anyone have any other ideas to make this place look more like home?

Yes, I'm working through the gifs of this page, one at a time. I absolutely agree about the buttons, maybe I'll just go ahead and make new ones now.

Away from that, please post any suggestions you have! I've been adding those icons and smilies and the banner, but if you miss something, feel like something is lacking, post about it!

But so far we have new Thread icons (which are actually CoH related, hehe), I've cleaned up the little icons a bit (sticky, attachments, polls, etc), worked a little on the IM icons and added new CoH related status icons (user on/off, report).

Feedback anytime pls.

Edit: Okay, we have new buttons. I'm sure I haven't changed them all, so if you see a button in the old look, please let me know. I also notice that the CoH blue looks somewhat weird with the forum. Should I rather change the buttons, adopt the forum colors or let it be as it is?

I always upload the graphics in bundles, so it doesn't get too chaotic.
And I was going to suggest the same thing Inde posted.

Everything looks great!

Only things I still would like changed is the character limit for a post down to at least 8 or 10 characters. But I guess it's fine as is, to keep me from being too short-worded.

But more importantly change the color of the posting page to dark grey to prevent permanent retinal damage. :chuckle:

I think this place is great, the only thing I'd like to see is the influence system come back, with the whole like glowing names and cool stuff we had over on the other boards, aside from that leave everything the way it is now, with the little graphical tweaks you guys are continually doing.
