((Ok… this is my first RP post in going on a year and a half. It’s nowhere near the quality I would like it at, but it serves its purpose. Admittedly parts of it are gonna be confusing to anyone who hasn’t followed my character’s storylines. But hopefully as I add more to it, more and more will become clear. Comments and criticism is always welcome, and thanks for reading.))

The screams echoed throughout the cavern. “ENOUGH!” A voice boomed. Her sight had been so blurred from the pain, she could no longer see. “Release her… let us see how she fares with her new abilities…”

“Sir. Miss Lakíra is attempting to send you a telepathic message.” A computer voice asked. It sounded metallic, but warm and polite, almost alive. A man with chin-length blue hair rolled across the floor to inspect one of the many monitors in the room. “Patch it through, then.” He replied. “Of course, sir.” The computer whirred for a moment, and the telepathic message was played into the man’s earpiece.

“Sabotage, are you there?” Lakíra’s voice was faint and quiet.
“This is he.. Another nightmare, Lakíra?” The man known as Sabotage asked.
There was a slight pause. “…Yes.”
Sabotage sighed, “Alright… Why don’t you come down to the estate, enjoy some breakfast? You can use our facilities for your workout, after, if you want.”
“Are you sure?”
“Lakíra… Come over. We’ll talk when you get here. All right? Be safe… I’ll be watching.” His voice was reassuring.
“I’ll be there soon. Thank you, Sabe.”

“Connection terminated.” The computer voice informed him. With another sigh, he punched a few commands into the computer he was at before standing up and leaving the network room. The Lathan Estate. More of an office than an estate, it housed some 350 employees in various fields, ranging from covert recon, to research and development. The building itself contained everything from a hospital wing to an armory, and several testing facilities. The basement of the building not only acted as a safe house that could hold the entire staff safely in the event of an emergency, but was also home to a masterpiece design resembling one of those “danger rooms” most supergroups are keen on having. The top 3 floors were the personal living quarters of Septa Lathan. Sabotage was a well-known figure in this building, being the head director of the recon unit, as well as Septa close personal friend. Security was very tight, most of it designed by Sabotage himself.

“Good evening, Lakíra.” The guard greeted her as she came to the door. “Gonna need a handprint. You know the drill.” She smiled to him and placed her hand on the small pad. “Alright.. DNA sequence recorded aaaannndd… cleared. Welcome to the Lathan Estate, Lakíra.” The guard smiled to her and let her in. Sabotage was waiting on the other side of the door, in the Lobby. “Took you longer than I expected.” He remarked. “Yeah… The accident at the reactor’s messing with my flight.” She responded. Sabotage simply nodded. He led her to the elevator, and took them up to the dining room, where a feast of a breakfast awaited them. She blinked. “Calm down… this is what breakfast looks like every day here. Septa tends to go all out for us. You really should come around here more often.” He chuckled as they sat down to eat.

“So…” He started. She sighed. “It was… about Ravak.” She looked at him almost apologetically as he winced. Ravak… That was a familiar name around this estate. The demon that they’d been trying to track since late September. “About... Your visit with him?” He asked. She nodded. “I was right, after all. I never escaped… he let me go. After… all that… he just let me go.” Sabe could only nod. “I… wish I had something more to give you… I can be a good listener, but being comforting really isn’t in my bag of tricks… I did promise you, though… last September, that you would be safe. I just wish I could do more though.” “Sabe… I can’t ask anything of you, after what you and everyone else here’s done for me…” He looked at her for a moment. “Well, umm… I’ll let you enjoy your breakfast and get to your workout. If you need anything, you know where to find me, ok?” He stood up and gave her a pat on the shoulder before walking out. There was so much he wished he could do for her. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do. Hopefully in time she could overcome it.
