Looks good so far. One hell of a neck muscle. Would not want to fight that version that's for sure. ;)

Veikira, you do wonderful work.
Some day I will need to coerce you into doing Gabriel's Fury for me so I can have a cover for my book.

I love your inking, but his proportions and some of the muscles look off.

I believe most of that is actually his back.
And honestly, it's still about 10 billion times more accurate than a certain former X-Force penciler. Not going to mention any names, but I hear he likes moons and thinks they give atmosphere...

WOW, that's one hulking brute of a Statesman! :jawdrop:
You know. I don't know much about anatomy as it is (because I sure as hell can't get anything right these days), but I'll agree with Poison in saying that some proportions and muscles are a tad off (like I have the slimmest right to say something like that :p), but I love it! Kinda reminds me of Colossus. I would love to see your take on the other Surviving 8. Especially Back Alley Brawler. He gets no love these days. Heh. I can't wait to see the coloring!

Its very very good V,
IMO proportions can look off on a regular body builder, if you take a snapshot of them going from one pose to another.. in this case, I think the artistic impression works well, and the pose shows me someone on the verge of explosive action, some sort of buildup in anycase.
Your style of shading/definition always impresses me, I have yet to actually get "into inking" my inking is using adobe to adjust contrast :)
The "EDGY" look you achieve with your inks is excellent, all i can say about it.
I look forward to seeing more from you.

And how! Although "He who's name must not be mentioned's" work has improved immensely, he's still not as good as what we see from V. ;)

Why can't you mention this persons name? O_o
And yeah...I like bulking up my characters just a bit. :) Makes them 'more than human'. Specially if having Strength as an ability is a factor...
His right arm will be re-drawn. I don't like how it looks. Almost like it's broken...

They are referring to Rob Liefeld, former Image artist who came up with the most amazing, non-existant muscles ever. All guys looked the same, the girls had waists as thin as their wrists and you asked yourself who let this guy draw comics.

Update, Statesman himself is pretty much done. I fixed the arms a bit, I'm now more happy with it.
Now to construct a background...

The end of a battle would be a cool backround, him positioned like that for as in, who's next? All on broken cement with a couple fires burning through the rock, or a hydrant burst in the distance, like the outbreak contaminated area.
Heh. Nice, V! And good background idea, Morc. That's exactly what I was thinking. Not the background, but the, "Who's next?" line.

Also, said artist couldn't draw hands at many times chosr to hide them behind something. And stole a good bit of his poses and layouts from other comics.
