Ok, Joe brought an idea for a Charity SG (Sorta) About giving Lower lvl heroes inf donations and helping them out and So forth. Well it reminded me of a SG Idea I had Way back last august Called the Paragon City Benefactors Association. The idea was to start a supergoup dedicated to helping other Heroes. Only thing is I never got the guy I wanted to start it to 10. Just Lazyness and a will to have a Single Character to focus on stopped that. Anywho, now that I'm more or less "Mainless" I'm sure I could get him to 10 on Virtue. Alright, I'm Blabbering but eh, it's what happens after I have too much Mountain Dew. ANYWHO Here goes

SG Name: The Paragon City Benefactors Association (PCBA for short)
Primary Goal: Be a Trustworthy and useful Charity Group for Heroes having A Hard time.
Secondary Goal: Establish Good ties between the Older heroes of Paragon and the New Arrivals.
How it Works: You can Donate Inf to the Charity (To be given to Lower lvl heroes who are Hard Lucked.) Or you can Join the SG and Help Mentor Lower Lvl heroes and teach them the ropes of Paragon.
Membership Lvls:
Benefactor: Earned by Joining the SG and Mentoring new heroes.
Supporter: Have given a Sum of Inf (And Joined the SG.. If you want to..)
Recipient: A Hero who has Received either Inf or Mentoring from a stronger member of the SG. Heroes without a SG who recieve assistance will be Highly Urged to join.

Well.. I think that Covers it........ Also, to recieve Assistance, the Hero must either A. Be a trusted member of the Guru Community
B. Earn the Trust of a Supporter or Benefactor.

Also a few things have hit me about this..... Anywho here goes again
If interest is shown, I'll make the SG. Secondly for those who would like to participate but have a SG A Global Channel will be made. That way Benefactors and Supporters will be able to interact with the recipiants without having to actually join a SG. All Benefactors will be Made Operators in the Channel, and repeated Cries of "PL me Plz" Or "Gimme Da Monies" (Or something to that Effect) Would be grounds for Kicking. I know we're SUPPOSED to be helping, but its no reason for people to be annoying about it.

It sounds good and all but, unfortunately, I fear that many people may take advantage of it. I love the idea, and all, but it will be taken advantage of by heroes who make alternate characters.

I'm curious. You say new heroes, but does that include all heroes with low security levels or only to heroes who are new to City of Heroes entirely?

Any "New" Hero. Also, I won't give money to anyones Alt who didnt' donate in the first part. (I'm trying to be fair as possible however I do know some people are hard to Trust)

EDIT: Also, it's not like I'll over compensate with the Donations... only enough to buy the set of Ennies or new costume they want.

Hmm.. I need more Feedback people, I'm not gonna make it and find out from people "Man, that's a stupid idea."

I think the main problem is starting up a new alt to support others.. it's kind of hard, and some people don't like the challenge. I'd do it if it weren't for me already have to many alts. I will however be glad to donate some on any of my alts and help out when I can.

Heh, well that's enough for me to at least MAKE the character in charge.
