I have a cartoon foot!

Okay... well, I had my foot surgery today and everything's fine. The doctor told me to bring flip-flops to wear for afterwards, so I bought these totally cute flip-flops just for the occasion (figuring my foot would heal faster if in a cute shoe).

The funny thing is, she wrapped my toes in so much bandaging that I couldn't fit the flip-flop onto my foot. The gauze is kinda flesh-toned so it looks like I have these ginormous cartoon toes. *looks at her foot and giggles* So they had to get one of those dorky shoe thingies for me to wear. What's even funnier is, they had to get a pediatric one because my feet are so small.

Anyway, ballet should be a lot more comfortable now (as if that's ever possible). Hooray!

Thanks guys. Thankfully I won't be all pain-pill silly, which is a good thing, because I'm dorky enough when I'm not under the influence of controlled substances.

It is a fine excuse to drink wine though (as if I needed another excuse).

Pain killer happy people can be fine, but whatever. Glad your ok, and if I was old enough to drink I'd drink to a fast healing cartoon foot for you.

Glad everything went well. Unfortunately they only give you the 'good' pain pills for a short time. When I had neck surgery back in 2001, the best thing I liked though was the pure oxygen they give you in recovery.:)

Oh I see. Well, since I have neither digital camera nor scanner, I'm afraid the pictures will have to be only in your imaginations. Besides, today I had to change the dressing anyway, and I used white gauze and created a far sleeker, more streamlined design. It's almost chic, and I am able to wear the flip-flops today. No more cartoon foot!
