Poll Fourm?!?

Feel free to ignore this rant all you want. It's just me venting some, which is why it's here, and not in the thread that sparked this rant. :)

So, recently, a whole section of the board has been dedicated to "polls," in an attempt to "clean up" the spam fourm from all the CoHGuru Favorite threads.

Now, really, I'm not bothered by the extra section. But, did we REALLY need it? The threads in question were in the spam fourm, do we really need to seperate the different types of spam from each other?

I've been on several hundred message boards over the years, and I am constantly when people bitch about the types of threads that appear in the spam fourm. Folks, it's a SPAM forum! It's a whole section of the message board dedicated to junk! Not just off topic stuff, but stuff that does nothing to further the board as a whole. Thus the reason it's called spam. If there's a thread in this fourm you don't like, ignore it. It's what I do, and I'm a regular visiter of this part of our boards.

Anyway, what I'm saying is having sub-spam fourms seems redundent to me, and just a little stupid. But, then, that's just me. YMMV.

So, thanks for listining... I now return you to your regularly scheduled board drama.

Naw, you see, i can understand your frustration, but we always had a poll section in all our past forums.
Other polls will start to appear, it'll be fun, you'll see. ;)

You know what's really going to be awesome? Is when the "polls" lose their popularity in a couple of weeks and the sub-forum dies.

Oh, you kids! You should have seen the polls we had back in the day!
There was none of that fancy elimination, you just voted once, and you were done!
They had to come up with new topics all the time! It was interesting! :geezer:
