Alex sat in her bedroom in Skyway, looking at the bare furnishings. Kryo had told LJ the location of her apartment, but now standing in it part of her wished that she could stay at the hospital still, it seemed more comfortable there.

"To think those angels would put me in a place like this. The only furniture here is a sleeping bag, a folding chair and table, and a crappy TV....... least I know they're doing brainwashing, noboby would live in these conditions if they could avoid it."

Alex went through her memories of the last couple of days. Kryo had rescued her from the scientists that experimented on her, that tried to rape her. Kryo brought her to the hospital, and when she woke up Kryo told her the truth. The angels had captured her and had the scientists experiment on her. Then the angels would have brainwashed her and used her as a weapon. But Kryo rescued her, and they would both pretend to be part of this villianous angel group, and then take them down at the right time, and Alex would get her revenge.

Of course, Just because Alex remembered it this way, doesn't mean it's the truth.

It had started innocently enough, Cryo wanting to talk to Alex about helping Alex with her memories. To Alex it seemed fine, Cryo had been talking with her for the last few weeks, helping her. So when Cryo asked Alex to take her hand, she didn't realize she had just walked into a trap. Alex found herself on a new plane of existance, in Kryo's world. Once there Kryo treated Alex like a plaything. Starting with verbally getting into Alex's head. Then Kryo forced Alex to see things. And then to feel things, experience them. Alex resisted best she could, but eventually Kryo broke her.

Kryo altered Alex's memories at this point. Up until Alex had been a hero for a few months, nothing was changed. But then Kryo started to weave her lies into LJ's memories. In the new memories Kryo created, Alex never looked for a supergroup to work with. Her time in the UL, most of her knowledge of other supergroups and heroes, her improvements and failures in attempting to become something more than a social hermit, to Alex's present knowledge never happened. She just continued to work alone until she had suddenly been kidnapped and knocked out. She had awoken to being experimented on and abused. But before the scientists had raped her, Kryo had stepped in and saved her. In LJ's present mind, she'd only had her spines and physical resistances for days, not months. In LJ's present mind the GAR were villians, monsters. And in LJ's present state of mind, Kryo was her savior, the only person to care for her since her parents. In LJ's mind, she would do almost anything Kryo asked.

Alex believed this was all truth, she had no way of knowing right now that Kryo had altered her memories.

But even if Alex did get her memories back, if she became herself again and remembered all......... could she resist being broken again?

I had a vision today there was a person standing in pain unable to get away. The pain it spread through out her body and to all those she touched. This pain was unrelenting and unberable. Then I went to sleep and everything was fine.

Sickness is eating always eating, it won't stop someone help...help

The Warden of the Ziggurat spent his morning personally going over the prison interior. Guards that saw him coming gave him a wide birth, as they could tell by looking that the warden was registering a nine on the 'Pissed off-o-meter'.

"I take one night off and stuff goes to ****." He muttered as he walked down the halls to the south east corner of the prison, going over reports of what happened.

12:38am : Energy blast takes out prison security. Witnesses state that the blast came down from a high altitude. However what exactly the blast was and it's point of origin are unknown.

12:44am: Prisoner on first floor is broken out of his cell.

12:47am: Second prisoner on the first floor is broken out.

12:51am: Third prisoner broken out, this one on the third floor. One guard choked out by someone other than the prisoner.

12:55am: Lights on third floor disabled for 10 seconds. Four guards incapasitated, no life threatening or permanent damage. Fourth prisoner broken out.

The warden Finally got to his desitnation, a cell on the second floor, southeast corner. Inside CIS officers were giving the room the once over while people from the corinors office prepared to remove what was left of the body in the cell. From the Warden's present angel it looked like a combination of a mauling and a small grenade going off in the mans chest.

12:58am: Cell of fifth prisoner broken into. Prisoner believed to be killed at this time by the person or persons who broke into the Zig in the first place.

The last thing the Warden looked at before he left the cell was a letter the person who broke into the cell left near the door. It read as follows:



Dear those sided with this cadaver,

You have corrupted this city, and you have corrupted me. You have raped this city, you have raped me. You have brainwashed this city, you tried to brainwash me. But a lady of letter saved me. I will serve her, and I will do to you what I have done to the waste of life that resided in this cell. You have inflicted pain on me with your corruption, now I will inflict my revenge on you with my rage.

As the warden walked out of the room, he checked with one of his guards. "Who was this prisoner in this room?"

The guard near the door who had been silently praying to be questioned by the warden responded, "I'm not sure, this isn't my area so I'll have to check records. But I think I remember seeing this guy first come in. He was wearing this thread-bare lab coat, and a hero escorted him in.....what was her name.......leaper......lyger.....

......oh yeah, Lady Jaeger."
