So I've had IH for about a level and a half now. I originally added to my build long ago when I was doing a lot of research of Regen scrappers. Most of what I read back then seemed to indicate that IH was something of a signature power, that you were really playing until you got it. On paper it seemed to be pretty good.

Well now I have it, and I must say I'm somewhat disappointed and befuddled. Firstly, I could have sworn this power was one that was activatable, but now I see it is a toggle. Is this something that changed within the past few months or was it always like this? Secondly, this power is an endurance hog like I've never seen before. Sure my hitpoints recover somewhat more quickly, but too often I find myself totally drained within seconds of turning it on, which really doesn't do me any good. Is the big secret to wait until you've slotted this thing with a bunch of Endurance reducers before using it? To me, this seems like a waste of slots considering that Reconstruction still keeps me alive in most situations where I manage to get in over my head (not to mention the recently-made-uber Integration).

So what am I missing here? I'm just looking for some general opinions. Is IH as good as they say or just overrated? Necessary or avoidable?

Try it out on Test...it's been changed.

I would normally recommend 6 slotting IH with heal SOs and putting some End Redux in for Integration (atleast 2). but since the new change i honestly don't know what to do.

Ah ha!

* Changed Regeneration/Instant Healing from a Toggle Power to a Click power. Gave it a new animation so it activates faster.
With almost unlimited Health Regeneration, this power was always intended to be used sparingly. The high Endurance cost was intended to accomplish this, but in the end, only lead to frustrations of running out of Endurance. As a click with a long recharge, its Endurance cost can remain low, and its Regeneration boost can stay high.
Didn't realize this was up on Test already. This is more what I thought the power was originally supposed to be like, really just a more powerful version of Reconstruction.

No.. Reconstruction heals once and is over. Instant healing was the signature power in the whole set.

-nods- It was basically the definition what regeneration was. I'd rather have them up the end cost or down the heal than make it a click power...-_- I've got too many powers I need to worry about being put on auto to play.

well, today i stood in peregrine island letting 2 DE monsters beat the crap out of me for 2 hours now....Still haven't died. I think we kinda need that nerf.

-feels bad about complaining-

oh and also figured out how that it would take 128 days of non-stop CoH taking 900 dmg every 10 secs in order to get the new 1 billion damage badge in I5.
