A certain someone convinced me to try out that free trial so me, being ultimately on dial up, decided to buy a copy of the game instead of wasting time DLing it... (8 and change on eBay :sarcasm: )

So now thats been shipped and I'm eagerly awaiting it as to help fill in time where I'm online and, no longer struck by altitis, was wondering if anyone else still plays this?

BTW... not quitting CoH, not by a long shot, just wanted to try another MMO while I waited for CoV... besides I still want to reroll Es as a Kheld :cool:

I used to play AO. Was my first MMOg actually, though I didn't understand **** back then (total newb).

I think I tried it a long long time ago and cancelled after a month. Just wasn't very interesting to me, I'm afraid.

Exactly same here.

The game is now completely free at least until the end of the year. Ive got it on my hard drive, but i didnt play in a while.
Ive got a few characters in a whole range of levels, so ill gladly help you out.

I played it for a month but for some resom there service wouldnt accept my Credit Card. (and yes it was still good :p )

Now I don't know how long I would have played it. At least another month.

i haven't played AO for five or six years, but somehow my Enforcer (http://www.anarchy-online.com/character/bio/d/1/name/redward) is still in the community list. Sometimes, I wonder where she would be now if I hadn't lost interest and left the game. :(

I still remember those fun little moments in AO, like the one time I had Redward buy this huge aquatic vehicle (back before those vehicles were phased out) and drive it through the streets of Newland, and it looked like this huge fish just crawling very, very slowly through the streets, and other people were getting out of the way and alternately laughing or offering up rude comments. But that boat certainly got a reaction out of them...more of a reaction than her little motorcycle thing ever did. :)

It's funny that CoH doesn't have a character database or a supergroup database like this one (http://www.anarchyonline.com/content/community/people/) and this one (http://town.uo.com/guilds/). It sure would be nice to have a feature like that, wouldn't it?

It was actually announced long, long time ago. Part of what the kiosks ingame are for.

RK1 Atlantean is where I'll be settling.

Haven't picked a name yet 'cause I'm stuck patching from 11.0 to 14.X.X then to 15.X.X, problem is I can't get their damn ftp site to let me download the updates. Says it'll take a few hours but I can't do squat so I'm kinda PO'ed.

I was wondering if anyone has a link to an updater Patcher.exe file I could borrow 'cause it won't auto update and I can't DL the patches for some reason?

EDIT: WOO! Some australian site had the patch from 11.0 to 12.1 so now its self updating correctly now.
