I swear, dealing with multiple supergroups is hard. No wonder I've let Gauntlet Legends fall to the wayside. :(
It's great that I've finally gotten around to spicing up Malice in Wonderland again, but now I'd like to focus on Urban Bushido. It has been a while since we had a nice event or other get-together, poor Esbat's getting despondent or bored and we have several Shodan who are gunning for Hachidan and would like a trial or two to help them earn their promotions.
So here's a thread where we can put our heads together. If it works, I might even recreate a new Think Tank thread and Sticky it, so that we might have a new place to compare ideas and concoct future Urban Bushido events.
So what sounds like a good idea for a future UB event? Vote, speak, sell me.
1) Another sparring tournament, just like the last two. The more members we have, the better. Sonic Star is the current champion, so anyone who can unseat him might be due for a reward.
2) Ninjas. Anyone with Virtue slots to spare can create a ninja (most likely a Martial Arts or Katana Scrapper), maybe even throw in a wu-jen wizard (from one of the three squishy Archetypes) and/or his stone guardian (a Stone Armor Tanker, done up to look like some Oriental terra cotta work of art even when not "stoned up"). Give the ninjas generic names like "Iga Ninja [such and such]"...Iga Ninja Togo, Iga Ninja Shen, Iga Ninja Hiro.... Get all of them up to SL11 or so, but don't load them with Enhancements...just to be fair. Then we head to the Arena and throw ninja wars, with all the ninja teaming up against one randomly chosen Urban Bushi. Then drop the match down to Featherweight or whatever it is...just to keep it fair. Revel in the ensuing ninja-horde-versus-one-martial-champion battle.
3) Pirates. Same as the Ninjas idea, except we use pirates instead.
4) Ninjas versus Pirates. If we're feeling froggy and we have a big enough turn-out for #2 and/or #3, we split the throng into three teams: Ninjas versus pirates, with the sole Bushi caught in the middle. >:]
5) Robots. Like #2 and #3, except the lone master fights it out with robots instead of ninjas or pirates.
Options 6 through 8) Oh, for Pete's sake...you can figure all of this out, can't you? Oh, my head hurts....
9) Gemini Park Kata Fever. We get into our leaders into their team uniforms, we go to Gemini Park and we show those artsy drama queens how our sensei run a martial arts class. Newcomers are welcome. Maybe we could turn this into a recruiting drive. :)
10) Something else. Spell it out for us below.
