View Full Version : Who Is The Silent World Order?

Alright this is my formulation and brainstorming thread on what the Silent World Order is all about. I'll use this thread to post my ideas for my vision and such and it'll be as a basis before I actually put up an offical charter on our boards, ingame, and on our website. I also want to make a really nice recruitment thread in these forums. (hopefully tonight)

Here we go...

In General :

The Silent World Order was established by Sebastian Kain in the Mid to late 80's as a means of communication and networking for him and six of his closets friends and business partners. They were very secretive with their on going dealings in the fields of the stock market, small business and politics. SK was the ring leader of the organization and coined the name as The Silent World Order. It was also used to pitch his political party aspirations during this time period. ((more will be revealed about the 6 and the history of SWO in SK's timeline))

Over time the SWO would grow into more than just individuals and their daily endevours to 'get ahead' in the corp. world. It would eventually become a complex society of individuals from different backgrounds (politicans, lawyers, doctors, business men, wall street gurus, cops, miltary personell both retired and active, scientist, educators, and other white collar and blue collar people of the working class across the world.

Even more shocking the Order was the home to Ex cons, Ex thieves, Ex drug dealers and other members of the underworld or 'wrong side of the tracks'. However they all had one common goal..and it was World Domination. Or in theory to see their leader Sebastain Kain arise to power in the United States..to eventually become the US President.

With all of these organizations and other forms of income pooling together their efforts..the SWO was able to be established as a national power house. Eventhough it did it rather quietly. With a few locations and mostly on word of mouth instead of in the public view.

On to our In Game Ranking Structure:

As it stands we have Council, Cabinet, and Staff members of the SWO.

The Council (consists of 3 members): President SK, Tsarmina (Vice President), and Meltman (err not sure the Third in command's title is right now)

The council will govern over most of the order..but they usually give the messages to the cabinet and then the cabinet gives out the orders to the rest of the members. In time the council will expand to those that step up as leaders of this group and get things accomplished (especially in the absences of those that already lead). But as it stands the game limits some of the things I want to do with this team anyway.

The Cabinet (# of Members TBD): They are next in line for the chain of command and they'll oversee everything that deals with Order stuff. (like team with newer members, make sure applications are posted on the forums, and general stuff like that) Their roles are different and really depend on the characters already.

The Staff (Everyone Else): Eventhought the Staff members are last in line..they aren't just Agents or Goons. They can be specialized characters with specific roles in how things are done within the confines of the SWO.

((All of these can be expanded upon..but im already tongue tied as is. So someone else can say something))

We could use two things...that are team specific ((or bases of the past concept of the Order))

Agents - Agent specifics with single letter names..(ex: Agent R.) make sure they include the dot behind them.

And

Interns - Character specific (mostly if not all women). Maybe they can be specific names as well like (Ex: Intern R. or Intern 1.)

I know it seems a bit cheesy..but it could or could not work.

At least the agent's aren't lumped together with the goons :)

So, as it stands the staff would answer to anybody farther up in the organization, with maybe one of the cabinet members being their contact, manager, what have you. And possibly these staff members might have more than one cabinet member that they would work under at any one time, depending on their duties. For example, Hot For Teacher, a fire/empath controller, will probably spend most of his time working with teams as their med tech, so would answer to the Cabinet member in charge of health, as well as Special ops/Security. He might also at times work with the cabinet member in charge of political events, helping to encourage youth to join our organization. Is this what direction you are going?

Very much so, does it sound good thus far?

it doesn't sound too bad so far... wifey would make an agent if not for the dress code :) maybe i can talk her into an intern :)

Definitely. Of course, if the SWO was to grow significantly, you would probably need to structure the staff as having one cabinet member that they answered to, with occasionally farming out staff to different departments, like you have talked about previously. But as the group stands, this gives a structure that loosely ties staff to specific departments. Of course, some staff members might always be associated to a particular department, like goons. Having a goon working in the Health department doesn't make a lot of sense. ;)

Isn't next in line Speaker of the house?

Sounds good to me. So lets say I was really ambitions an accident would have to happen to like Meltman then someone would be bumped up to his spot? :P j/k

If you can post like a structure tree or something it might help also to see how it is layed out visualy and make it easier to know who to talk to about what.

It sounds pretty good to me. (Hrm. How about something ambiguous for my title, like, Coordinator, or Chief Consultant to the President?)

I like Cheif Consultant or something to that effect. Perhaps let you appoint a cabinet member (one that can handle the responsiblity and would like to) to be in charge of the recruitment efforts.

((like making sure all future recruits (especially those from ingame) post an application on our forums. And go through the proper interview process for that week.)) :)

Since you said everyone, my character should be right where he is. Consulting and whatnot.

Agent Q should be right about where he is i guess, (if i had the chance to play more i'd ask for a cabinet position due to being the lead agent, but it's understandable why i'm not) hmmm one thing i would like is some recruiting power though, the hours that i can play i'll pretty much see 1 maybe 2 order members online, and i've come across a few situations where i would have liked to be able to invite folks, but there's no one available to do so.

And perhaps our lead Agent should have invite powers for recruiting.

If I see maz on, I can bump him up to cabinet position.

Is there anyone who would be heading the defense or technology departments? I'd like something along those lines if possible but if there's something else you need, let me know. I'm pretty active with Gamma.

Here's a bit more about our history..this explains how the Order became a promoter of small businesses and business partners.

Silent World Order - Used to be the Codename for the friendship/business partnership SK had with his 5 friends from his Wall Street Days. Not until the early 90's did SK establish the organization known as the Silent World Order.

Time - est. 1980

Members - Sebastian Kain, Morgan Grayson (deceased), Winston Fairchild (deceased), Adam Barlow (Murdered), Jed Attaway (Poisoned), and Waylan Cummings (Executed)

Notes:

- This 'SK' of this time period wasn't the SK we've come to know today.

- He was a maniuplator, tyrant, and cuthroat business man.

- Him and his associates (listed above) were known for their shady dealings within the stock market and among other things such as real estate, law firms, and buying out small businesses.

- They never dealt with anyone on the outside of their inner circle like they dealt with any of their own.

- SK never really told the others that he was around their same age. So he was considered the rookie of the group.

- They pooled all of their earnings as one to make a run into politics. Morgan Grayson was the leader of the group. (oldest member) He wanted to run for office in the senate. However he never made it....he died aburptly.

- After Morgan died, many suspected that foul play was involved. He was considered to be in excellent health before his passing. Doctors really could figure out how he died..except for bruise marks on his heart that might suggest that he suffered from a mild heartattack.

- The group began to second guess each other..and they continued to die one by one. Each death more stranger than the next. Winston Fairchild, a man who was born in Louisville Kentucky and never married, died while in the act with his lover at the time. The hear the woman's testimony, you would think she had seen a ghost. All she remembers is being terrified for her life and running out the door after shoving his lifeless body off of her persons.

- Adam Barlow was murdered in late 1986. After the other members had stopped talking to each other for the most part, he fell into a nasty habit of binge drinking and doing drugs. He was murdered by drug dealers shortly after his 38th birthday. No one truly knows why to this day.

- Jed Attaway was the one everyone least suspected to die such an odd way. Out of all of them he had the cleanest record and was least likely to do anything other than what he was told to do. He was the voice of reason behind the group, and eventhough was out number, kept them from doing anything that would be considered 'criminal unjustice' by today's standards. However, his death was the least likely to be believable. He was poisoned to death while having dinner with his wife. CSI investigators found poison solution all over the glass he was drinking from. His wife was believed to be the main suspect in the case. She was thrown in jail, and she later killed herself before she was ever convicted.

- Waylan Cummings was the final one to die out of the group, besides SK himself. Cummings and Kain never really saw eye to eye on anything and he was the most corrupt out of all of them. Had a history of shady black market dealings all over the globe. He had retired in the 1989's from everything that had to do with the stock market and the US for that matter. But he didn't give up on his 'extreme' dealings. He had established a drug ring in Cuba, shortly before he left the US for good. However he was found out by the Cuban government. Some believed one of his own personel tipped them off. Either way he was sentenced and executed.

After the untimely deaths of all of his one time collegues. SK inherited all of thier saved up earnings from their organization. In memorial to his friends, he established the political organization of the Silent World Order, in hopes of continuing their legacy. He had turned over a new leaf long before any of the others did..and decided he would right the wrongs of his past life...

However..something wasn't quite right about all of this...

Prior to joining the Silent World Order, Capt. Ceres was working with the Dept. of Homeland Security. I could theoretically help handle relations between governmental organizations and our own.
