[U]Origin,(ill do the short version)[/U:After a large concert in the paragon city arena (yeah, they cleared it out for him), Jon was sitting backstage, all liquered up, with the smell of reefer on his clothes. He went to the bathroom with is customized 9mm,deciding to end it all. Right before he was going to pull the trigger, he heard a low, creepy kinda voice..."hey man, you wanna take a trip?", and with jon being partially incapacitated, he said "sure...". a large dark figure appeard in front of him, he saw a glimpse before he was knocked out. He woke up in an alley, all groggy with a hang over. a hero came along (always trying to help...), he asked "do you need some help?", Jon said no, the hero said "you sure?"....Jon then got mad, real made, jon screamed "Yes! leave me the f**k alone!" he then punched the hero in the head. When Jon looked down he saw the hero was lying still, with three holes in his head. Jon looked at what the figuer in the bathroom did to him. He is now a leader of The Freakshow, getting crazier with each murder.

thats it, sorry for the one word of bad language, heh. What do you guys think? I personally like the last sentence, brings it all together, and shows who Jon really is.

Hello all. Cryo introduced me to this group, some of you may have interacted with me as Lady Jaeger. After talking with Cryo I was told I could join the sg if I wanted, so I'm going to give it a shot. Here's a basic bio on the character I'm going to try in MiW.

I'll warn this was originally written at 2:30, so sorry if it's a bit sloppy

Klara Bekker was never what you'd call a good person. Her childhood was a combination of orphanages and short stay's with foster parrents. She never really settled in anywhere. Under the circumstances it's not suprising she turned to crime. At first it was pickpocketing and petty theift. As time went on it turned to muggings, breaking and entering, and robbery. Her rap sheet though only has the earliest of the crimes, a few petty thefts and one pickpocket charge. Klara learned quick. She would do whatever it took to get what she wanted. Violence, spying, seduction, blackmail, threats; to Klara life followed Darwin's rule. You ethier fought hard to survive and "evolve", or stayed how you are and died out. So when it got to the point that she would tail gang members from crime scenes and kill them for their loot, she considered it survival of the fittest.

Perhaps it was for that reason that the KoA happened across her. That particular group of Knives were capturing people for sacrafices, and were suprised to come across a woman like Klara. So they decided to put her through a ritual. If she survived they would invite Klara to their fold, if not they had another sacrafice. In the middle of the ritual a group of heroes burst in. During the battle and crossfire Klara recieved several injuries, including losing her right eye. While Klara had no particular hated for heroes she didn't trust being with them, so she retreated deeper into the cave the KoA were using.

Klara came across a small shrine made to honor Artemis. Upon touching the shrine she felt a surge of energy flow through her, and all her wounds except her eye were healed. When this happened Klara heard a voice that claimed to be servant of Artemis say that she "Was given power to use as she saw fit." and that the form of her power could change over time. Afterwards Klara hid until the heroes left then escaped.

While she is short an eye, her vision is not really affected, as if the new power in her compensates for her. And some quick testing showed that she could heal from almost anything, except her lost eye for some unknown reason. As of yet she hasn't discovered the full amount of power she has recieved. Though she has registered as a hero under the name "Artemis Wind", she doesn't plan on becoming heroic. To Klara the hero gig gives her a way to test her new powers while earing some cash on the side. And as for the robbery, assualts, and other crimes she has and will continue to commit........well she has to be more carefull, but just because she's registered as a hero doesn't mean she can't be like a villian.

Gary Maxwell liked being employed by Crey. He knew of course what the company really did. He was an agent of the company, one the ones the public usually didn't know about. He liked his post in the company. He had a little power, a healthy bank account, people that would follow his orders, and work that he enjoyed. He was reasonably happy, secure, and stable. Well perhaps he was somewhat sociopathic, but who wasn't in the company.

When the higher ups asked for a volenteer for a new proceedure, Gary stepped up. He had read the info provided about it, and he liked what he saw. The experiment was a way to vastly improve the combat capability and versitility of agents in high risk assignments, without resorting to unwieldy heavy weapons or expensive and overt powered suits. Using a combination of cybernetics, artificial inteligence, nanotech, and a experimental version of the macro assembler tech recovered from a nemisis base; the proceedure would give the agent the ablility to create and command small battle drones to use in combat through a series of implants put into the agents body. It would give the agent far more combat ability without affecting the agents own combat ability, and said agent on the street would be practiacally indistinguishible from normal agents. Gary underwent the procedure, and for the most part it was a sucess. After the surgery and a bit of training, he could create and command simple drones. It was progressing well if admitedly a bit slowly. Well it was except for one problem.

Basicly, when you try to put 11 pounds of human intelligence, artificial intelligence, cybernetic implants, and nanotech into a 10 pound container..... problems will come up.

It started with Gary complaining of headaches. At the time it was just thought to be a side effect, nothing to be concerned about. Then the voices started. Gary said that the AI's had started to talk to him. Of course the AI's had not been created with any sentience, they couldn't have been able to do that. So etheir one of two things happened; etheir the AI's gained sentience through Gary's mind, or Gary's mind had started to take a long walk off a short cliff. Etheir way Crey decided to bring Gary in for testing. But by then the combination of the stress, the AI's "talking", other factors had driven Gary to think the agents were comming to kill him. A explosive battle broke out which ended with Gary injured and on the run. Crey has deemed him a failed experiment and wants him brought in or killed.

As for Gary, well with his presently affected mental stability, his view of what's happened has altered. Now he believes that he was manipulated into the experiment, and wants revenge for what happened. He blames Crey for what happened, along with anyone or anything that was even vaugely connected with it. The damage from the battle affected both his body and cybernetic systems, but he's slowly recovering. As for now he's gotten a false hero ID and is using the assignments from the city contacts as cover to get more info and help get him back into working order.

And as for the question of whether the voices in his head are caused by AI affected by his own mind, or the cracking of his sanity...........

..........that's a good question.
