Anyone tried this out or know how it is like?

I am curious, since this ties into tabletop armies, World War 2, and driving big hunks of machinery.

I did. Played once and passed.
The game basically plays like Battlefield 2142. You need to play to gain money and exp with which you can unlock tank parts on a Diablo-like tree. Unlock the right ones and you can get a new tank. This turns the game into one huge grind for the top tier models.

The matches themselves are slow and completely unbalanced. Top tier tanks are on the same map as lv1 noobs, so there's a lot of ganking going on (if you can call it that). The game tries to be so close to reality that aiming and firing is a huge hassle and the tanks are ultra slow, just like WW2 tanks. Once you die, you spend the rest of the round waiting for one side to win. Which can take up to 10 minutes.

In a nutshell, it's a 3PS/FPS with too much grinding and too little action. It sounds fun on paper and is surely interesting for tank engineering fanatics, but IMO not a good game.

Well, good to know.

"'Tanks" for the info! :D

Looks like I may take a pass, too.
