Was browsing herocorps on archivethis.org (looking for showtimes bio but sadly it's gone) and I managed to find all of Mr. Mud's old profile. Saved all the pics to my hard drive. Here's the dump of the file & the reports that were archived.

Posted here in case Charon never saved it.

Mr. Mud was born David Dirt in 1974, to Olivia Dirt. The father of the child is unknown and is likely to have left the child at an early age. It is unlikely even the mother of the baby knows who fathered it, since at the time of David's conception she was both a drug addict and a prostitute.

David Dirt grew up in High Park, Kings Row, in the area that in the eighties was known as the Basement and was infamous for being crime ridden and full of no hopers who sold drugs or themselves for money. Conditions worsed in the Basement in the 80s when the Back Alley Brawler cleared the area of drugs. While this improved the quality of living of the more affluent members of the Kings Row community, those who had no choice but to survive from the drug trade were left out in the cold, and during the 80s many homeless or unemployed died in The Basement.

When David Dirt was just sixteen in 1991, he and other teenagers in the slums formed the street gang known as the Basement Boyz. The Basement Boyz refused to fall victim of the kind of lifestyle that had befallen their parents, and decided that turning to crime was preferable to turning to drugs and prostitution. During this summer the Petrovic/Shadows war was in full swing and their drug trades had significantly slowed if not all together disapeared. The only other dealer was Frank 'Knuckles' LaRusso whose business was slowing due to the deaths of many of his personel at the hands of vigilante 'Charon.'

Charon, whose fiancee had been murdered by Frank LaRusso's hitman 'Ex' in 1989, became a vigilante to avenge her death. During the year after the death of Maria DeMarco, Charon, also known as Robert Ian Black disapeared, training himself and silently killing members of LaRusso's crime family. 1991 was the year in which Charon finally hit the streets as a vigilante. Previously he had concentrated all his efforts on LaRusso.

During this first year of activity, Charon particularly was targetting the street gangs in King's Row. The Shadows and the Petrovics were obvious targets as at the time they were warring factions. However Charon equally did not forget the Basement Boyz, and dropped in on them during a late night raid on a liquor store in the Aqueduct, Kings Row. David Dirt was present at this robbery. Charon chased all of the gang members out of the store. There was a small scuffle, and one of the gang members had his leg broken in the process. David Dirt, however, fled. Charon chased him to a Quarry site on the outskirts of Kings Row. Dirt, determined to evade capture by a vigilante he had no doubt heard terrifying rumours about, instead risked his life by entering the Quarry. He slipped and fell seventy five feet into the bottom of the Quarry, landing in dirt, rock and mud, as well as a strange substance we have yet to identify.

From what we can determine, this Quarry was owned by Crey Industries, and was shut down only two weeks after David Dirt fell into the Quarry. From what information we can muster, the Quarry site was an operation in the early nineties to find a large amount of mutagenic material that was buried by the Fifth Column just outside King's Row after the Second World War. It is believe Crey Industries had just dug deep enough to find what they were looking for, when Dirt had his accident.

David Dirt lay unconcious in the waste for seven hours before he came around. During the several weeks following, he found he now had the ability to control the very dirt, soil and rock around him. He found his skin was harder, and at will he could change his skin to mud, rock or soil, as well as form rock or soil weapons from his hands.

The night after the liquor store robbery, Charon had found the Basement Boyz main HQ. Having found the kind of squalor and poverty they lived in, he found he was unable to administer his kind of justice on them. Instead he gave them an option. They could become his informants, and he would provide for them the best he could, or they could continue to oppose him and he would be forced to use his usual tactics of maiming or even death on them. They complied and became his informants, and Charon helped to build The Basement into what it is today.

David Dirt therefore had two options infront of him with his new found earth based powers. He could either go with the Basement Boyz and become informants, possibly even become a hero. In his mind however, being a hero wasn't a paying job. Dirt saw his priorities and paying the way for his elderly and sick mother. And so, Dirt donned a plain black and brown costume and a domino mask, renamed himself 'Mud,' and became a two bit supervillain.

Mud did made a slight name for himself in the 90s. He became known as a good henchman and enforcer, and during the 90s enjoyed work with some of the big league villains in King's Row. For a time he was an enforcer for The General, Russian crime lord and gun runner. On several occassions he worked for Knuckles LaRusso, once tasked with the job of killing Charon himself. He also worked with the undead mob boss Vegas once or twice. During the 90s David Dirt was given two stretches in the Ziggurat, once for Assault and once for Superpowered robbery. Both times he served his time and was released on parole, which he immediately skipped.

Dirt's mother died during his first stretch in the Ziggurat, in 1993. Her passing made him only more determined in his villainous career.

In 2004, Mud was working as an enforcer for Sebastian Frost when he encountered Charon again. They fought, and eventually Mud was arrested and taken away. He was put on trial in 2005 and found guilty of three counts of Superpowered Robbery and four counts of aggrivated assault. He was given thirty seven years in prison in total.

Mud was recently broken out of the Ziggurat for the third time during an Arachnos assault on the Ziggurat. However Mud was not their intended target to release and in fact was let out of his cell by 'Blake', a friend he had aquired during his second stretch inside. Mud escaped out into the excercise yard, where, as leaked Arachnos reports tell us, Mud was told he was not on the list to be taken to the Rogue Isles. When Mud replied 'That's Mister Mud to you chump, and check the list again,' he was told to go back to his cell and sit tight, Arachnos had no need of him.

Far from going back to his cell, Mud instead fought his way through Longbow troops and onto the streets of Brickstown, where he looked up an old, and now retired villain friend and paid him to drive Mud to Independance Port, where he snuck aboard a fishing boat and bribed the captain to take him to the Rogue Isles, knowing that if he stayed in Paragon City he would be back inside the Ziggurat within days.

Mr. Mud, as he is now calling himself, is now loose in the Rogue Isles. It has been rumoured that he has been working for shady contacts in opposition of Arachnos, and has even fought some high profile Arachnos members, the most notable to date being Dr. Geist, who had been working on an experiment in some relation to the mysterious infected. He has already proved himself a threat to the public by robbing the 22nd National Bank and leaving the blame on the Mooks.

Mr. Mud seems determined to hit the big time as a villain. However, having failed to become much more than a henchman during his time during the 90s, it is unlikely that Mr. Mud will find his way to the top on the Rogue Isles. Nevertheless, he has already made some small assaults on the Wyvern and Longbow, and is to be kept under observation incase becomes a much larger threat.

UPDATE It appears there has been a slight underestimation of Mr. Mud in the above report. Over the last few weeks, Mr. Mud has made a name for himself in the Rogue Isles, making many direct assaults on Paragon City itself, working with villains as high up in Arachnos as Ghost Widow, and taking out well known names such as Dr. Echo.

Mr. Mud has even returned to the Ziggurat in the past few days and aided in one of Arachnos' prison raids. Despite the best efforts of Longbow and security forces, villains 'Nexus 99', 'Blunt Trauma', and 'Void Ripper', were taken away by Mr. Mud especially, and a shipload of lesser villains have been transported to Mercy Island.

Mr. Mud is becoming a mounting and fast increasing threat.

Banged Up 2004-12-13

This is a photo taken by Ryan James after conducting an interview with Mr. Mud in prison after his third arrest in 2004. This time, it is thought, David Dirt is going down for good. He has been arrested on suspicion of Superpowered Robbery and had already been convicted on counts of Battery and Superpowered Robbery in the nineties.

He is a violent criminal, and while Mud has never killed or been an accessory to murder, on this occassion it is thought that he will recieve a sentence of up to or above thirty years.

It is safe to say that for now Mud can be put to inactive status on the Hero Corps threat scale. He will be serving time for the forseeable future.

Sprung Part 1 2006-03-31

A picture taken by an Arachnos guard of prison inmates battering the police forces sent to contain the situation during their latest Ziggurat raid. David Dirt can be seen in full armour in the background, cheering on his cellmate who is beating Officer George Cartwright, who was later admitted to hospital and is still in a critical condition. After this photo was taken, Mr. Mud made his way to the courtyard.

The prisoner who is battering the police officer is thought to be Mud's cellmate Andrew 'Spikeman' Kloon. Why he is not using his trademark metal spikes in this situation, it is unsure.

Sprung Part 2 2006-03-31

This photo was taken out in the courtyard, where Dirt was dismissed by the Arachnos captain who was charged with the job of collecting up all the villains who Lord Recluse saw as having potential. Dirt was told that his name was not on the list, and gained his current alias by replying:

"That's Mister Mud to you, mother fucker. And check the list again."

Dirt was turned away.

Sprung Part 3 2006-03-31

This is taken from CCTV footage in Brickstown, and shows David Dirt getting into the back of a truck owned by a retired villain who currently lives in Brickstown. This villain is an associate of Mr. Mud's from the nineties, who Mud then paid to take him to Independance Port. It is thought Mud then bribed the captain of a fishing boat to take him to the Rogue Isles from there.

R.I.P. 2006-04-01

This, on his first day in the Rogue Isles, is Mud's first encounter with the Rogue Isles Police Department. Mud was met by two officers who had been tipped off to his unwanted arrival in the Rogue Isles. He beat both of them into submission and left them bleeding on the dock.

Dr. Geist 2006-04-01

After arriving in the Rogue Isles the day before, Mud sought out the shadiest contacts on Mercy Isle who are largely anti-arachnos. During a mission for one of these less than savoury contacts, Mud was brought up against Dr. Geist, an Arachnos mad scientist working on the serum which would infect the infected. Mud knocked him unconcious after a short battle.

The 22nd National Bank 2006-04-02

This very alarming picture depicts, after just two days on the Rogue Isles, Mr. Mud's first bank robbery. This comes from CCTV footage inside the 22nd National Bank. Mr. Mud smashed his way in at 10:35 in the morning, breaking up a robbery attempt by The Mooks. While some patrons of the bank thought he was there to save them, he simply took the loot for himself and took on wave after wave of Rogue Isles police officers. After leaving 17 of them unconcious, Mr. Mud made it out onto the street with approximately one hundred and fourteen thousand dollars, everything that was in the bank vault at the time.
