So, Crysis is actually... good? All I ever heard about when it came out was that most folks wouldn't be able to play it on high graphical settings for several years. No one ever talked about the features or the gameplay, it was "Holy shit, good luck even running this thing!"

It has a metacritic score of 91 for the original and 84 for Warhead so I'm willing to take a chance on two games for 14 bucks.

It wasn't too bad. I might pick the pack up, seeing as my copy now is Pirated, plus that whole Mechwarrior thing looks awesome. My only real complaint that I had with the game was one that I had with Stalker as well, and that's that the guns simply seem to completely lack punch. It feels like your shooting BB guns half the time.

Well, much to my surprise I can run Crysis in "High" mode (not sure if there's something above that) but only with x2 Anti-alias. Probably could have gone higher, but I noticed a difference at x4 so I didn't want to push it. Haven't played too much to comment on the gameplay, but the controls are fairly intuitive and it looks AMAZING. I can kind of understand what Kurai meant about the lack of punch in the guns, although I play with the 360 controller (fully supported) so the force feeback negates that somewhat.

As far as today's deals: Mass Effect is 5 bucks, Doom Pack Complete (Ultimate Doom, Doom II, Master Levels for Doom II, Final Doom, Doom 3, Doom 3: Ressurection of Evil) is 14 bucks, and Portal is 5 bucks, although that game is kind of short. You'd be better off just buying The Orange Box for it's holiday price of 22.49 if you don't already have it.

and the mech mod, if you can find right version, is good too...though like most FPS I can't seem to actually kill any live enemies. I soften them up though, right after the kill me they die.

Hmmm.. my Steam buys during this turned out to be unsatisfying for the most part. My laptop can't handle GTAIV at 1080P, so it ends up looking meh lowered.. and apparently Jade Empire isn't fully compatible with Vista so it stutters?

However Bioshock works full graphics and looks nice, and I've heard many good things.

Got Audio Surf, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum, Torchlight, Burnout Paradise, Crysis/Crysis Warhead, the Telltale Everything Pack, and Red Alert 3.

Spent about 99 bucks all told.

Overall I'm pretty happy with it. Hell, just Rollercoast Tycoon 3 and the Telltale games will keep me busy for quite awhile.

I was gonna try to finish GTAIV to keep me busy, some of the ones I am stuck on with the console require sniping.. which I suck at with a controller.. but on PC, much better. I just think the game looks like ass when it's not at my monitors actual screen size.

..Jade Empire I just wanted to play it again more pretty like. It does look good.. the stuttering thing might be doable. It could keep me busy if I can get passed that.

..Balls. It's okay.. the whole thing was kind of a let down. "Showtime" is nothing like Crash Mode and thats where the Burnout games shined the most for me. This one just feels like another racing game.. I'll beat it and toss it to the side.. :(
