I'm sure you all know this pic:
http://ridingsun.powerblogs.com/files/bunny.jpg

But did you know that the rabbit's name was Oolong (it sadly passed away already) and that its owner, Hironori Akutagawa, has a homepage full with pics of cuddly rabbits balancing items on their heads (amongst other things)?

Check it out! (http://www.fsinet.or.jp/~sokaisha/rabbit/rabbit.htm) (Japanese though)

I totally love this site now, I could look at it for hours! That rabbit is soooo incredibly cute! I'm sad to hear that he passed away, but considering that this rabbit has more of a rememberance of himself on the net than most people.

I really want a rabbit now. If I didn't know for a fact that it wouldn't be as lovely to actually own a rabbit than see pictures of one I'd go get a rabbit. Also I think it's amazing this guy can let his rabbit go roam out in the lawn and the rabbit comes back. I've never seen anyone get a rabbit to be that well behaved before.

Like.. look at this.. awww. He's building a snow fort. I can't get my dogs to want to go out and play in the snow.. when we have it..

And look at him sleaping by the television..

And if I don't turn this off I'll never stop posting links about this site...

I have a rabbit that looks just like that, and she does all that.

Rabbits are super smart, clean, and loving pets. Plus, mine beat up a poodle.

I can't remember the site, but there was a man who put one up about how he saved a bunny and that he was going to fatten it up and cook it unless people sent him a certain amount of money. It was a "save the bunny" page and he posted all sorts of rabbit recipes on there to move things along. Last I heard he was nearing his goal.

That would be "Save Toby." (http://www.savetoby.com/) He has ran that thing several times already. The paypal account doesn't actually work but I'm pretty sure he makes money on the T-shirts and such.

Cute bunnies. :)

A colleague of mine was rabbit-sitting for her sister one weekend, and this rabbit also runs around in the yard and comes back when called. She knows where her boundaries are. It was very impressive. *ponders getting a rabbit since a dog, unfortunately, is out of the question right now*

As to the bunny with a pancake on its head:

I have that picture up in my classroom. My students know that if they are ever confused about something and don't feel comfortable asking, they can do a little gesture with their hands representing the bunny with a pancake, as kind of a secret signal that they'd like me to come help them, without calling attention to themselves. It works pretty well.

They'll be crushed to hear that that bunny died. :( He was kind of an icon to my students last year.

That Hippo looks like an eggplant in a kitchen sink.
