Funny enough, I recently started watching all kind of Zombie movies while working. Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead (original and Director's Cut remake), Day of the Dead, Return of the Living Dead 1-3, House of the Dead, etc. Now I'm waiting for Romero's Land of the Dead.

You all ever play the board game Zombies!!! (http://www.warehouse23.com/item.html?id=TLC2000) from Twilight Creations? Its a funny game. Its a mix of GR Zombies, and Dead Alive, and Army of Darkness. The main male 'character' on the cards looks like Ash. Your 'pawn' is a shotgun toating survivor. Hehe. Its lots of fun. I think I own 3 of the 5 sets. Maybe 4, not sure anymore. I keep mine in an Evil Dead Lunch Box. My Zombies all fit in the drink thermis. Its fun, and can be played in under an hour with 2 people. Take a look, its fun!

I was always more of an Aramis fan, though that does not include the later books of the trilogy. Although all Musketeers really suck by the end... :|

I'd rather go with a good, sharp, heavy bastard sword myself. It never runs out of ammo, it's longer than an arm's length and you can take a zombie's head off with a good stroke. Just make sure you don't get swamped with sheer numbers; Guard a doorway if you can, and retreat to safety if you feel fatigue setting in.

That said, guns are for people who are too prissy to get covered in hand-to-hand zombie splatter. >:]

I have a friend who swears the best zombie-fighting tool is a shovel. You can sharpen the metal part so it works like a halberd, and it'll still be just as good for digging and other shovelling-related activities.

Me? I want an aluminum baseball bat. There's nothing more familiar and natural to me than swinging a bat, unlike swinging a bastard sword or a sledgehammer or something. That said, I have a bastard sword under my bed, Widdy. In the event of zombies, try to make your way down I70 to Columbia and I'll let you borrow it.

Of course I've seen Shaun of the Dead! (But I watched it on DVD.) It was hilarious, and I'm depressed that they didn't have an option for cricket bats.

That said: fighting zombies hand to hand is stupid, because if it's a virus, and you get splatter, you risk infection. Better do it the nice and clean way.
