Nerfed, read the article. Those aren't the characters in the contest. Those are the characters Wired.com thinks should be remade. I don't see anything indicating exactly which characters will be remade. But there are probably HUNDREDS of DC characters who could use it.

Also, Wired doesn't seem to have a clue to two of their choices.

For some odd reason, Vertigo has been made totally seperate from the regular DC Universe for some unknown reason I can't really fathom and can only guess at (Possibly it was too mature? It offered a dramatic view of various religions that possibly turned certain fundamentalists readers off? They wanted to be more free to do things without the likes of Superman/Batman/etc. interfering?)

Yes, at one time, it shared the DCU not that long ago but now it does not. So you will not see "Death" or "Swamp Thing" or anyone with a Vertigo title in the Online game; at least for the forseeable future.

Also, there is something "weird" going on with the Icon/Detroit universe (that Static Shock hails from). I hear the creator was not happy with DC, yet now DC is incorporating many of his creations into mainstream DCU. I can't imagine the game without them, but some say they won't be in.
