Just started playing this yesterday and so far it's looking good. The controls are decent, there's a LOT of different combos and a lot of gore. It's also cool to actually see damage on Wolverine healing. If you're damaged enough you can even see through part of his stomache :D

The game is so far giving me a fast summation of the movie. Allthough the story isn't quite the same. Maybe the game developers were working with an earlier version of the movie script or something. I've seen from movie clips that it'll diverge a LOT from the movie later on, having you fight more super-powered baddies and even a sentinel.
Heck, I've so far ran into machete wielding guys who were on fire and a rock/lava monster of some kind. So it seems like they've taken some of the major plot points of the movie and woven it into a bigger Wolverine story.

It's so far been good fun slicing guys to ribbons :D

After today's PvP comic about it I watched some gameplay footage of it and it doesn't look bad for a movie-based VG.

Thing is, it's not really movie based. The game was in development before the movie. Then they got offered a deal to work with fox and sort of made their work in progress into a movie game. But like I mentioned, it's more like they've just woven the major elements of the movie into a bigger story.
As the review I linked at the top mentioned there's some graphical glitches, allthough I haven't noticed any so far myself (too preoccupied with fighting to look at the scenery :p), so I bet the game was a bit rushed to launch with the movie. It might have been a better game if it hadn't been tied into the movie at all.

I have enjoyed the game a great deal. It's not as awesome to me as Infamous is, but it has been and continues to be fun to play as you slice off limbs, break bones, and watch a shotgun blast to your stomach heal up (and yep, looking past his ribs is cool! I end up going to explosives just so I can try and choose what parts to damage and watch. Got an arm shredded doing it just right, and took off most of his hair doing it another way. his head is pretty shiny even when coated with blood! It's definately a good game for Wolvie fans, and while I'm not the largest of those, it is a good one. Just wish they'd have made Gambit better in the game...he doesn't talk like that, dammit...(all the prattle and crap they have him say) but at least he can put up a good fight...it'd suck if he was a wuss (I AM a big Gambit fan. :)

I haven't played alot of this game (got caught up in UFC Undisputed) but what I played was very enjoyable. My favorite part so far is one of the ways you can kill Ghosts, just makes Wolverine feel like such a badass.

Ahh the gore is the best...It's easily the best movie game I've played. True, it doesn't follow the movie exactly but that's kind of a good thing. I find that the game explains some things better than the movie did.

The only downsides to the game that I really find is that it is a little repetitive, there's not a huge selection of different enemies, it can be a little glitchy (was for me) and the entire level involving Gambit as he is the most annoying boss in the entire game.
