EDIT: Updated the pics with my new belt mod.


Hi all, I'm new here and new to modding CoX textures.

I made my own sound mods a long time ago and have used other peoples texture mods for some time now but decided I wanted to make my own texture mods.

I was strongly influenced and motivated mostly by Electro's and Krypto's excellent mods.

Below are my first attempts at texture modding. I started off with my favorite superhero, Superman.

The first one is your basic Superman, the second one is my Christopher Reeve version and the third one is my Superman Returns version. I hope you like my mods. DC's Captain Marvel is what I'm working on next. :)

Very well done. Which chest emblom does it replace?

Thank you. The replacement format is as follows...

Basic Superman: Chest Detail = Star 1, Cape Pattern = Stars 1
Christopher Reeve Superman: = Chest Detail = Star 2, Cape Pattern = Stars 2
Superman Returns = Chest Detail = Symbol 2.

Edit: I forgot to mention that some of the sounds are modded as well. The sound heard when hovering/flying, the sound for Leadership power activation and the level up sound are all custom.

Hi all, I decided to try belt modding. Pics are below.

There's really only one belt in the game that can be modded "properly" and still be color friendly. That belt is the Standard belt using the Metal Plates option. This was a major pain to do and was definately a learning experience but I felt it was needed to get a better Superman look in CoH/CoV.

I have updated the pics in my first post and have updated my "EH Superman" and "EH Superman (CR Version)" zip files to include the belt mod. I'll try to get a belt done for the "Superman Returns" mod as well. Anywho, I hope you like the new belt. :)

I'm still working on different parts of the mod but the wristband is done. The half circle on top of the "wristband" is actually part of the chest pattern. Once this mod is completely done, I'll go to work on a "Superman Returns" belt.

Good work, nice to see folks still doing the mods (htought they made it almost impossible in the game now)
