Bond, he is a professional assassin with all the tools, gizmos, and guns to take Batman down. Would be an interesting fight, plus the conversation before hand at Wayne Manor would be hella interesting. I mean come on; you HAVE to get them both in suits with Martinis.

I have read the books, and I agree, he most certainly isn't sane. As an assassin, and a resourceful assassin at that, he would still come out ahead.

Once James has a look at her, he would turn on that charm and wit, he would make all those sexual innuendos and say his name backwards and what not. He would be easy to take down inbetween all that talking.

But to answer the original question, I favor Bond as the cooler guy.

Actually Shadow isn't based on Bond, since he predates Ian Flemming's novels. The first Bond novel was written in 1953, whereas the Shadow first appeared in 1931, a little over two decades before.

On a pure "coolness" scale, Bond wins. However, these guys are like apples and oranges. I think if they were to meet, they would probably get along, but in the same way that Batman gets along with Superman. They would agree to disagree on several levels, knowing that each is the best at the type of thing they do.

I would pay money to see Bond seduce Harley Quinn, and then take down the Joker with a pithy remark on his lips.

I would also pay money to see Batman trash a SPECTRE base, and make Blofeld piss his pants. ;)
